and location for the cooling centers expected to open tomorrow. just click on "weather. tonight, baltimore city police are investigating a gas station robbery that led to a man being held hostage. it was in the 5900 block of bellaire road. two suspects fled the store, and today home anon the 43 etter block of maryland avenue and they managed to arrest one of the robbers and rescued the man. >> we saw the suspect come out of the back and they brought mr. bill out and put him in the tactical unit and sticking to the paramedics. -- and took him to the paramedics. >> tonight, we're told the 93- year-old man is doing just fine. the search is on for the second suspect.

there in goods was convicted in november 2006 murder of john dowry. two other men were sentenced to life last month for their roles in the murder. all three men were convicted of conspiracy to distribute drugs and related gun charges. prosecutors claimed they murdered the man to protect their gang and intimidate other potential witnesses. a decline in home values has residents now double checking their property tax assessments. officials say more than 20,000 a maryland homeowners are challenging those assessments. 4000 of those come from montgomery county alone. that could be a record the state assesses the properties every three years. for more information about we have posted a link to the wbaltv.com state. and at -- a link to the state site at wbaltv.com tonight authorities are warning people to beware of unethical alarm
