here today. this is the heated health care reform debate boiling over. a town hall meeting in hagerstown hosted by democratic u.s. senator ben cardin. before the event, he told reporters he hoped the capacity crowd of 440 would honor the spirit of the town hall forum. >> it is not for demonstrations. it is to get information out, and we hope that those in attendance will be respectful of the people that are there and allow the questions to be asked. >> his office told us they tweaked the format to get in more questions from the crowd, a crowd repeatedly asked to calm down and be respectful, a crowd which kept cardin on the defense. >> how will you look at my children and tell them that they will have a better future?

details and the case of the shooting of a 5-year-old girl. confusing details that could allow the 17-year-old suspect to argue he has the perfect alibi. >> this is about the gps monitoring that was supposed to be keeping tabs on 17 year-old lemond davis. we have no our records michaud the teenager was where he was supposed to be at the time of the shooting, but that may depend on the time zone is that was used. >> the video release yesterday by his lawyer may not clearly identify the gunman on july 2, but it does establish the time, for 02 p.m.. davis is accused of shooting at another teenager to settle a dispute, and putting a bullet in the head of 5-year-old reagan white it. the little girl can be seen on the video lying in the street for several seconds before people rushed to help. she remains hospitalized in critical condition.

davis was under gps monitoring due to his juvenile record. we have learned that records show that at 4:02 that day, he was in compliance with the terms of his monitoring, at home about 10 blocks from where the shooting happened. the records are sure to be used by his lawyers to further argue that he is not the gunman seen in the video. sources say their gps records only add confusion. they said the problem is conflicting information over the times on used when the records were generated, eastern time vs. mountain time, a difference of two hours. >> the company that leases the gps equipment to the state and monitors offenders is headquartered in nebraska. lamont davis's lawyer would not comment on the gps records, which were turned over to his office today by jim all services officials. -- by juvenile services officials. >> tonight, an alleged sexual

has dropped charges against the man accused of raping a charles village woman. prosecutors say dna evidence excluded him as a suspect in the case, and all 11 counts against him have now been dropped. humbert was arrested after an intense manhunt. charging documents state he was identified by the victim. >> our investigators are searching for the cause of a house fire in white oak. several propane tanker fell behind home -- propane tanks were found behind the home. investigators are still trying to find the cause of a three alarm fire in queenstown. they were called to the scene yesterday afternoon. the family was not at home at the time, but to back dogs work. they had to be treated for injuries. the fire caused an estimated $1 million in damages. >> police are searching for the gunman who shot a woman who sat

in her home watching television. it happened on carver street in cherry hill last night. >> police say community activist shirley foulks has been a friend to the committee for a long time, but that the shooting was random. >> at her home in cherry hill today, you can see where the bullet traveled through the window casing, through the blinds, and into her shoulder. the only trace of that scene left today was the bullet hole. in cherry hill, things like this are the very thing she has fought to avoid. >> mr. lee does a fantastic job and both of those fronts, bringing the community together -- miss shirley. she helped build those bridges. >> the commissioner has known

stadium. it is a parcel of land previously approved for a sports complex. the baltimore independent -- entertainment group had planned to build a small casino and a less visible location. they have asked to approve a casino for nearly four thousand slot machines. >> the warm, humid air continues to linger in the region, and generating more showers and storms this afternoon. in some locations, the weather service has issued a flood warning, and cecil county. look at the heavy rains along i- 95. the heavy rain is moving into the area right now and into the northeast, some very heavy rain. if the storms is there for what, it could produce up to 6 inches of rain. hopefully it will drift to the north and not later. the storms in caroline county have moved out into delaware.

isolated storms on the western shore of the bay clipping parts of baltimore and anne arundel county. there is more out in amounts to our west. all night we will be watching the heavy showers and storms try to make their way through central maryland. the main threat is heavy downpours. the almanac and warnings in effect will show you we are on the edge of it here in baltimore city. the main threat is off to the north and east, with a flood warnings in cecil, kent, and new castle county. in baltimore, zero in the rain gauge at the airport and the inner harbor. it shows you how isolated the heavy storms can be. right now is 84 in downtown baltimore. cooler temperatures in the higher elevations to the east -- to the west. the risk of a shower will linger through the evening and even into tomorrow morning.

tomorrow afternoon we will see a few more storms generate. 72 tonight with a north wind at 5. the front is moving off the outer banks but showing signs of stalling, maybe even backing up and wandering through the mid- atlantic. afternoon thunderstorms will just be a threat for this area for the next few days. friday we think we will see less storm activity, very isolated, but we cannot eliminate the threat. it looks like things will try to tryout friday into saturday and beat better for pool days or to get outside and joyce some sunshine for the end of the week. a good chance it you will see a thundershower tomorrow afternoon. it is a northeast wind that will keep the temperature down below normal statewide. here's a tropical depression way out in the atlantic, trying to become the first official storm

of the season. the winds are only 35 miles an hour. it is forecast to reach the 40 mile an hour threshold that would give it the name anna as it makes its way west down. as it turns north, the upper level winds get stronger and the water to a printer is cooler. it looks like it will begin to weaken, but it is a threat to bermuda. the first name is ana. 82 tomorrow, 85 with only a couple of storms on friday. we will see some sun over the weekend, but there is the risk of the late afternoon thunderstorm. the pattern holds with slightly warmer temperatures next week. >> the orioles had only won back-to-back games once since the all-star game. jason became the second orioles pitcher to pick up double-digit
