he was placed under arrest. >> if convicted, he could face up to 10 years in prison. a man was accused of raping a someone after he was picked up -- picked out in a lineup. but the net -- dna evidence exonerated him. >> the report indicated that the dna that was recovered from the side seam did not match his dna. therefore it exonerated his involvement in this particular case. >> after sitting in jail for the last 15 months, he is now a free man. >> ben cardin had another town hall in western maryland.

>> of 71 degrees downtown. the sun is almost completely up. it looks like some patchy fog is out this morning. an increase in the clouds out this afternoon. we saw some heavy downpours over on the eastern shore yesterday afternoon. there is an upper level low that has been sitting a long a stalled out front that will take another day to complete the diminished and dissipate. but unsettled today. a chance of showers and storms. one more day of this pattern. 69 degrees at the airport. mid 70's in the mountains of western maryland. chances of showers and storms later on this afternoon. 83 degrees. a mixture of clouds and son.

the winds are out of the northeast. not a large spread between the surf temperature and the air temperature. waves are 1 foot or less. no problems for boaters out there. the record high was 99 degrees. the record low was 54 degrees. 64 degrees is normal for this time of year. 63 degrees-67 degrees is the temperature range for tonight. some scattered showers. cloudy with a 30% chance of thunderstorms tonight. a 7:30 kickoff for the game tonight. temperatures will be around the low 80's in the upper 70's.

as a way to create change. >> a howard county man is dead after a tragic accident writing a lawnmower. he lost control of the mall where he was operating as he was cutting grass on a steep hill. his body was found pinned under the lawn mower. officials are investigating the incident. >> an investigation in one county is having -- is helping police crackdown on robberies in the area. a teenage driver had links to other steps of the vehicles and burger -- burglaries in edgewood. they arrested a 17 year-old and his companion for vehicle theft. >> more news is due out today and the economy. the federal reserve gave its

most up beat assessment in at least a year. does this mean the recession is over? our washington bureau reporter has more on that. finally some good news. >> exactly. overnight, markets here and overseas are optimistic. there is some reason for precaution. stocks soared on the news. out. we have had the worst budget crisis in decades. the president was upbeat earlier this week at a town hall. >> the jobs picture is beginning to turn. we are starting to see signs that business investment is coming back. that does not mean that we are>> economic activity is likely to remain weak for a time. it is starting to pull back some of the emergency rescue in programs. it is keeping rates near zero to spur growth.

many things. after the assassination of her brother, she was inspired by her sister rosemary. she opened the first special olympics many years ago. she wanted those with disabilities to have a chance to compete. from the beginning of for summer camp held in the backyard of maryland, her goal was to change the world. she did. special olympics is the largest organization for people with disabilities. many volunteers work for it. service to others, that is the family mantra. she is inspired by her love of god, her devotion to her family
