regretted what he had done and to apologize for what he did. he could have gotten a life sentence, but because of a plea agreement, he got 40 years. >> jonathan cornish turned 18 last saturday. now, he will spend the next 40 years in federal prison. he was 15 years old when he pulled the trigger as part of a murder for hire scheme. >> he was a kid that was 15 at the time and in robotic fashion, he pulled the trigger and that is quite frightening. >> the victim was lured out of his home and his killers were paid $2,500 to prevent him from testifying in a murder case. he admitted shooting him three times with a 45 caliber handgun and the ties to the bloods gang was a membership that would cost and dealer.

9:00 thursday night, phelps was headed east in his escalade and an unidentified woman was headed north on this -- in this, of course. the woman read -- ran a red light and complained of neck and arm pain and was taken to the hospital as a -- as a precaution. police say that phelps complied fully with investigators and alcohol was found to not be a factor in the crash. >> again, to recap this breaking information, phelps will receive two citations, driving without a license and failure to establish residency in maryland for providing police and expired driver's license. for now, we are live downtown.

>> night, police are investigating another case of animal abuse. >> they are charging three people with torturing and killing a cat. >> this horrendous night ended here at lunch point. baltimore county police say that three men have been charged with animal cruelty and petty theft. one man is still behind bars on $50,000 bail. 18-year-old scott mcdowell did not want to top [laughter] today but it is because of him that they found out about a brutal case of animal abuse. baltimore county police say that they received a call from a man who said that he was on vacation when he received a call from mcdowell that said that his cash [laughter] was now dead. >> -- that is cat, was now dead. -- that his cat was now dead.
