two suspects who allegedly beat a 76 for all fishermen. our reporter is live with that story. >> from severe head injury. police say his wife witnessedshe tells baltimore city police racial slurs and started beating the victim, leaving him with a severe head injury. to be raised. they are handling this case as a hate crime. park in the victim's truck. are able to locate its a few they were able to apprehend one suspect. >> the suspect jumped out and fled. with the help of a local citizen, they saw where one of the suspects went and called police.

police are being praised for the an assault and shooting. the entire incident was caught on a citiwatch camera. it was two years ago. she got into a fight outside a convenience store outside utah st. a worker watches the fight but does not do anything to stop it. she got into another altercation gun. without this valuable footage, they never would have been able to bring the person to justice. >> the sentence is 18 years. that is an outstanding sentence considering that the victim in this case never came forward. the prosecutor is using the evidence on the camera as well as testimony from the officers. >> she was convicted of assault and reckless endangerment. anne arundel county police are death of a three year-old boy. charles brandley was rushed to had fallen down some stairs. the three-year old was flown to the hospital. his injuries were too severe for just a fall. >> our officers were able to learn that he reportedly had

>> the man is in critical condition in the hospital. our report for those of us live from police headquarters with more details on the story. >> good morning. she tells baltimore city police that they were packing up their trip yesterday morning when they were approached at a popular fishing spot. three young men started yelling racial slurs and started beating the victim, leaving him with a severe head injury. the only apparent motive seems to be raised. hate crime. police say the suspect fled the park in the victim's truck. it had an anti-theft device and

explosive testings which has had some loud explosions that can be heard outside of the boundaries of the operations. the testing will continue for the rest of the month and part of september. police say they arrested dozens of people on drug possession charges at a concert. some men were allegedly selling drugs. officers seize the drugs and 12 dozen dollars of cash. -- officers seized the drugs and $12,000 in cash. >> one church will reopen august 24 for its annual event. the church as been under repair since lightning struck the steeple back on july 1.

with almost 10 the weeks to go before baltimore county students headed back to school, teachers are returning for some on-the- job training. tim tooten tells us that fewer teachers are returning. >> some are new to teaching and someone new to baltimore county. >> i am from fort worth and i love life here in baltimore. >> this new group of teachers is familiar with baltimore county. " i went for the baltimore county school system. i loved the experience that i have. i know the curriculum. it was an easy decision to determine which county to teach in. >> those numbers are likely to change even more. the teachers' union is digging for answers. >> we want to look at what causes teachers to lead. right now people cannot retire.
