>> good morning, everybody. welcome back to 11 news, i'm stan stovall. >> and i'm mind. going to get a check on the traffic and weather and i hope you have air-conditioning. it's hot outside. >> starting out at 81 downtown. and muggy difficult to breathe and the air quality isn't bad today. we're green, but it's just all the moisture in the air and that's going to create a volatile situation when a front tries plow through that, we're going to see some thunderstorms. showers to our west. front's going to take a while to get through here so no improvement until late tomorrow afternoon. let's take a look at the temperatures. across the board this is the warmest morning we've seen so far this week. steamy and soupy outside this morning. take it easy on that afternoon commute. >> and stan mentioned there may be some road sweat out there because it's so hot.

the eastern shore and moisture in the air mass today so when we do see all that percolating with the strong heat of the day we are going to get strong thunderstorms if not late this afternoon and evening, overnight tonight. looks like a good chance of thunderstorms and here we're still going to surge above the normal of 85 to 89 degrees and a mixture of clouds and sunshine. 91 and mostly sunny because they are far removed from ocean city. as we head spot weekend the as well as are going to increase and waves and there's going to be a significant risk due to hurricane bill. small craft advisory levels so not a good day to get out on the water. today a 51-degree record low was set. tonight a good chance of showers and storms, mostly cloudy skies , 70-74.
