three different one and -- of paying rating -- gang raping three different women. two women accepted a ride from anthony. the victims told police he got on 95 south. they told him he was going the wrong direction, and he threatened them with a hunting knife and drove them to the high school. they tried to escape but were caught and raped repeatedly. police say in the process of investigating, another one was reported with many of the same characteristics. according to detectives, the victim was able to provide key details, including a license plate number that led them write to him. police say he confessed to all of the gang rapes.

then the confrontation happened. >> like firecrackers. >> the owner wonders if the man killed in the parking lot was coming for a beer, but police wonder if he was actually plotting his next move. he was shot and killed while trying to flee from a police officer. >> the suspect that the, striking a police vehicle. the suffolk slammed on the gaf. >> the officer is a 16-year veteran who feared for his life. the thick of truck smashed into a parked car he was pronounced dead at the scene. >> nobody can go. >> police accused him of a rash of robberies very good he was accused as a suspect last saturday.

they released photos and surveillance video. they believe he rob two restaurants. they say he either implied he had a weapon or pass a note demanding money. last week dave ran into him in his truck at night across the street from where he was shot and killed monday police say they are still looking for a woman who may have assisted in one of the robberies. >> we do not know yet. >> we believe she is involved. >> we know she was a person of interest. >> court records going back to 2002 show he has faced charges of assault armed robbery, and reckless endangerment >> we are hearing from of ravens rookie

for the first time since his arrest sunday night. the 27-year-old linebacker was charged with assaulting a police officer the cops were called. something passed between a group of men could have been a gun. it turns out that it was a cellphone, but he refused to cooperate and ultimately show the police sgt. he accused the police of racial profiling. they disagree. >> i am innocent, and the fact will prove that. >> we feel strongly about tony. he is a quality young man, and if there's anybody who understands how to handle themselves with authority, it is sony. he has been on this from day one. i am sure both sides will come out, and we have confidence our system will get this sorted out. >> the coach also spoke out in

support of officer accused of racial profiling. police say the incident was the result of stepped-up enforcement after recent violence in the area. the court date has been set for october 2. >> we're getting our first look at the official coast guard report for the water taxi accident that left five people dead theory of the report says the accident followed an unsafe decision as the storm was approaching. 25 people were on board. authorities say the boat capsized for a number of reasons and recommend an investigation for those at greater risk of capsizing. >> we are going to go back to roy taylor and latest on the manhole explosion downtown. by fire fighters say they had two minor man cover explosions.

baltimore gas and the election has responded, and they are waiting to check out exactly what is going on. they need someone to check out that there is no more damage. a committee -- as many as 90,000 people could die h from1n1 in the u.s. -- could die from swine flu this year, and that could include children and young people. that is an alarming estimate. >> experts are urging adults and kids to take precautions. in washington, concerns about swine flu are very real. >> as opposed to our usual seasonal influences strain, this particular strain seems to affect younger children more than older people.

the front will be far enough off shore to keep the storms at bay, and we will have a sunny day tomorrow. as the high moves across the coast, the winds will go back to the southwest. it is not going to get that hot here, but we will see the temperature is moving out tomorrow and the end of the week, and as we get into thursday and friday, the front is moving storms -- producing storms that get a little closer, so our thunderstorm chances will increase thursday afternoon going into friday and the weekend. there you see a couple of isolated storms. some spots could see a storm top of thursday afternoon, but a better chance in our area for friday afternoon. to morosso of the sun. winds out of the west said about 10 miles per hour. -- tomorrow, soak up the sun. wins out of the west at about 10

miles per hour. 79 in western maryland with sunshine. around the chesapeake, about 90 tamara with sunny skies and a touch more human. west winds will keep the cool ocean breeze off the coast. water is running around 78, and the hurricane center is keeping a close look. it looks like it is trying to become more organized, and the atmospheric conditions do favor a further strengthening, so this may become hurricane danny in the next couple days. we will have to see what happens if that becomes the fourth storm of the season. 90 tomorrow. a hot humid summer day. 85 with a few isolated thunderstorms. most areas will see storms on friday. scattered thunderstorms continue thursday, and a little more light fall by monday and tuesday next week.

to the delight of the ravens, an interception return for the touchdown. you like to see that from younger players, and at the end of the game, a touchdown. various web sealed the win. webb had his own made good, so incredible at times, ugly at other times. >> it was like a regular season game and a lot of ways. there was no game plan going on , and they are training camp alignments, but it was hard fought. >> i tip my hat to baltimore i think we're right there with.

he should have won the game. we have those two breaks, but they made their breaks. we are not there yet, but we are closing in on it. >> for the orioles, it looks like it could get more painful. adam jones plays with a sore back. guys like jones could make a difference. he had the early lead. imagine that. the new first baseman thompson to score, and those of a one- nothing advantage. -- the orioles have a one- nothing advantage. a difference-maker. not if -- not exactly a sexy highlight, but it was to the orioles detriment nonetheless.
