stab wounds. he was taken to a local hospital. no wound -- no word on his condition. something happened in broad daylight in yesterday afternoon. police say a man was shot multiple times outside of a walgreens. he died at the scene. the search for the gunmen continues. >> three men accused of raping a woman is behind bars tonight after one of the victim's license plate helped police track them down. a 19 year-old, a 20 year-old, and another man were accused of raping a woman after giving her a ride downtown. it occurred at a parking lot of seton keough high school. a similar situation happened with another female. the third victim is credited with helping police track down the suspects. >> the victim in this case was able to provide critical

details to the police investigators despite the viciousness of the attack and the violence that she endured. >> police say that critical information led them to one of the suspects who confessed and turned in his friends. all three are being held without bond. kevin o'malley is filling in the details regarding the cuts that have to be made in the state budget. it includes 205 layoffs, furloughs, and million dollars of reduction in state aid. community colleges will feel the pinch as well as other institutions. >> these are difficult times. we have to make the decisions necessary in order to protect our priorities and continue to move forward to the other side of this recession. >> the governor will officially present those cuts to the board of public works later this morning. >> a new law will band texting while driving.

morning, and mansion arizona was taken into police custody after he -- a man in arizona was taken into police custody after he tried to trade in his car after leaving the scene of a fatal accident in trading it in to the cash for clunkers program. he tried to trade in his bmw saying the damage was caused by an animal. >> police are investigating a shooting involving two other officers. a man ran into a preschool of with a knife allegedly. the officers nearby followed him. when they finally located him in the classroom, they opened fire killing the man. children witnessed the entire thing. counseling was made available for them. they are trying to determine if the officers did the right thing. still ahead, nasa scrubs and other large for the space
