>> baltimore police said a pair of officers were patrolling on hazelwood avenue when they tried camry. the car did not stop until one particular street. the driver put the car in reverse and tried to run the officer down. at least one officer fired his gun. fled on foot. police were able to get him. the passenger was not so lucky. >> the officer followed. >> we did learn that a female passenger was injured in the right arm. we do not know if she was hit by a round that the officer shot were hit by breaking glass. >> the woman was taken to an area hospital. no officers were injured. police say they were shaken up after the incident. police are still looking for the driver of the car. if you have any information about the suspect, please call baltimore county police. wbal-tv.

>> in the "project economy" report, some cuts were approved yesterday. they will release some more state employees from jobs. everything from fire to police, after-school programs, higher education, even cancer screening will see a reduction in the budget. >> do have given us fair warning that this round of cuts will be painful. having reviewed the proposal in detail, i am inclined to agree. the list of reduction reports will affect the lives of virtually every person in maryland. >> for more information on how the cuts are broken down, go to our website at wbaltv.com and click on politics. the cash for clunkers program was highly successful. it offered customers rebates for turning in their gas guzzlers for more gas division cars ended

radiation. close to 7% had undergone -- 70% had undergone some sort of test. most scans to not pose a risk to the health of patients. some studies suggest that at least 2% of cancers are linked to this type of exposure. researchers want to do more studies to see if it this affect the outcome of patients. >> some organizations have released guidelines to help doctors to determine if pregnant women should take anti- depressant. women with suicidal thoughts are candidates for a dose of drugs and shock therapy may be considered. evidence suggests that taking anti-depressants during a pregnancy can cause risks.

thunderstorms in the mountains of western maryland today. it is very pleasant right now. 86 is our forecast high in baltimore. in mostly dry day and a pretty comfortable day. 85 in ocean city. your forecast for tonight gives us mostly cloudy skies and a better chance for showers and storms. 65-72. a front is stalled out. moisture well-developed as a result. tropical storm danny is a churning of the east course. there is the front with energy there. it will be wet tomorrow. a good chance of scattered showers and storms. tropical storm danny is not very impressive. 50 mauer per hour winds. -- 50 miles per hour winds.

dollars in revenue over the first year. that would mean close to $400 million to the state in nearly $20 million to baltimore city as well as creating 900 jobs with the facility and 2300 construction jobs. this sounds great on paper. that is the problem. at a public hearing, the chairman of the video lottery commission says he has yet to get anything in writing from bceg or the additional $19.5 million licensing fee to get more machines. they are only licensed for 500. >> we cannot move forward with any consideration of either looking at a new alternative plan until the proposal is given in writing and is accompanied by the mandatory licensing fees. >> it is also apparent that members of the public are concerned over the timing and location of these public
