gun. the driver ditched the car and fled on foot. police were able to get him. -- unable to catch him. the passenger was not so lucky. >> we did learn that a femalewe do not know if she was hit by were hit by breaking glass. bob>> the woman was taken to an area hospital. no officers were injured. police say they were shaken up after the incident. police are still looking for the driver of the car. if you have any information about the suspect, please call baltimore county police. >> thank you. dundalk. we are told that an adult male was shot. no word on a suspect or a motive in this case.

and police also investigating a shooting in east baltimore. this was on the 3200 block of lendl avenue of around 4:30 -- 12:30 yesterday afternoon. local hospital. no word on his condition. >> there have been more than a dozen of robberies. police say a 39 year-old man -- the man fitting this sketch exposed himself to a woman outside the window of hera few days later, a man believed to be the same suspect exposed breaking into an apartment. neighbors are on edge. >> if i saw him at the foot of my bed, i would probably scream. >> i have a metal lamp shade. i guess i would use that. >> police say this should remind people to keep their windows and doors locked at

night.there have been more than a dozen of robberies. police say a 39 year-old man confessed to robbing businesses mostly in the charles village and south. -- south point area. he hit some of the businesses more than once. it retro clothing store is one of the victims. the owners bought back during one robbery. >> he went for my throat. at that point, my boyfriend had a baseball bat and crack him in the head with it. >> as soon as he is out of the hospital, we expect to charge him. the head injuries from a previous robbery. >> he seems to have expressedcharges are pending.

as far as tropical systems go. 50 miles per hour sustained winds. it is about 773 mouse to the east of ocean city. it is going to get the closest to us by friday night saturday morning. the northeast quadrant is the great area of greatest impact. we are in the better quadrants so we should not see much impact. we may see some rip currents around the ocean city area. it may affect new england and close to the canadian maritime by the second half of the weekend. we will watch this closely, but i think we will dodge the

senator ted kennedy. >> our washington bureau reporter joins us live with more details. >> good morning. the senator's body -- massachusetts for the next two saturday just outside of washington. to date a farewell tour begins for senator ted kennedy. his body will be escorted from the home to the library in boston. he will stay there for a memorial service friday evening. >> we will celebrate his life. >> a place where kennedy prayed daily during his daughter's own battle with cancer is where the eulogy will be delivered by president obama. >> he was a guardian for america lewis the defender of a dream. >> he will then be buried in the arlington national cemetery. he will not be far from the capital and where there is a makeshift memorial there.

officers tried to pull over a toyota camry in the 4900 block of hazelwood ave. they followed the car until it stopped. >> as the officers got out and approach the camry, the driver put it in reverse and tried to run the officers down. >> at least one officer tried to fire the weapon. the officers followed the car, but the driver ditched the car and fled on foot. officers were unable to get him. the companion ticket. >> we learned that a female passenger was injured in the arm. we do not know whether she was hit by a ground that the officer shot where hit by a piece of glass that broke. >> she was taken to the hospital for treatment. no officers were injured, but they were shaken up after the incident. police are still looking for the driver. if you have any information, contact baltimore city police. wbal tv 11 news. >> thank you.
