have seized from baltimore and the equipment that we have seized, drug dealers are paying for the police to be better trained. >> that retreat as part of the push to train an entire shift of officers for a month at a time. >> more budget-busting is. the governor might be forced to make another $2 million budget cut. when and where will the cuts be made? david collins has details. >> maryland tax revenues might be lower than expected. when projections are finalized next week, governor martin o'malley might have to consider cutting in on the -- cut in another $200 million out of the budget. a spokesperson said while more cuts might be necessary, these adjustments could be made in january. we asked the director of the nonpartisan maryland budget and tax policy institute what budget balancing options are left.

the governor has already made more than $700 million in cuts. >> there is not the room to bring it down further without really throwing people into catastrophic situations. >> they are still crunching revenue projections. sales revenues are falling short of expectations. the rainy day fund closed this fiscal year with the balance of $691 million. but export worn tapping into that would be dangerous. -- experts warn of tapping into that would be dangerous. there's a suggestion to put a moratorium on land acquisitions. >> we keep finding money under rocks and between cushions that we did not know about. last year, they came up with hundreds of millions of dollars. are there any of those things left? i do not know. >> long-term solutions offered

by the institute include extending the temporary tax surcharge on million dollar personal incomes, raise the gas tax, something that has not been done since 1992, raise the tax on alcohol, which has not been touched since 1972, or expand the sales tax to cover more consumer purchases. the state's largest labor union is also seeking solutions that will not impact state workers or services. >> any to the fact there duplicating personal services throughout the state. they need to book the outside contracts. >> the latest revenue protection and -- projections will be released next thursday. according to the governor's press office, adjustments could wait until january. wbal-tv 11 news. >> president obama will have a busy couple of days as he continues to push for health- care reform. one night after delivering his prime-time speech to congress he is preparing to go to
