some of that additional rain fell last night. it has been a saudi 24 hours. -- it has been a wet 24 hours. the southern part of the state was wet but is showing signs of drying out. this area of low pressure to reverse and to southern pennsylvania. it will linger around to the day tomorrow so we may not be done with this until some time tomorrow night. off to the northeast, we are seeing some lightning strikes in these bands of tropical light systems. this almost became a tropical storm and is now moving inland. look at some of these rainfall totals. 4.27 in ocean city and most of that was yesterday. 4.17 in atlantic city.

3.9 in no. baltimore county. that is why this northeast corner has been hit the hardest and they are under a flood warning. small streams and creeks in northern baltimore county could see some floating on going. you want to be very careful. you do not want to drive through a flooded road way. the winds were stronger but we got significant gusts moving in. these are blowing at about 25 miles per hour. it is breezy, wet and cool. the typical high would be about 80 but we are in the '50s and '60s were the rain has been coming down fairly steady. we will see a temperature range in the '50s and '60s. clouds and occasional showers will continue to come down from baltimore north.

this will continue to slowly worked his way up to the north and west in pennsylvania. this will organize and come at us and it will kick the system off of the atlantic coast but it will get into pennsylvania and then get pushed off the coast. all my tonight and for part of tomorrow, the threat of a shower will be lingering in the area. 70-75 for tomorrow. we may see a little bit of sun squeeze through. those west winds are 10-50 m.p.h.. bay water temperature has dropped to 67. the insta-weather plus 70 forecast shows some sunshine and we will get rid of this soggy, wet weather. 82 degrees on monday and 83 on tuesday.

year ago, hurricane ike made landfall as a category one hurricane. residents there are still rebuilding. >> one year after the violent storm ripped across this barrier island, the physical and emotional scars still linger. >> there is a greeting that still goes on. >> much of this area still looks like a wasteland. scattered debris, empty and buckled slabs. just over 800 people are back in their homes, but close to 14,000 are still waiting.

temperature down to 62 degrees was the high temperature and the normal is 80 with the record at 100. about 1.5 inches of rain at the inner harbor and there was a whole lot more elsewhere. we got reports of four-5 inches of rain in parts of cecil counted. almost 4 inches -- parts of cecil county. from howard county to into the east, 4 inches was not uncommon and that rain was falling in ocean city yesterday. we have flood warnings going in some areas and that is likely coming out of their banks did to the brain that we have had.

-- to the rain that we have had. antipater's stay steady with showers to the west. as this area of low pressure works its way into pennsylvania, the showers will continue to rotate around it and then finally, this front will get strong enough to try and push in. the front will not get here but the force will kick that stormed out into the atlantic. as the clouds began to defend a bit, we will not seek a lot of sunshine, but we will still have the ever-present risk of a shower. bay water temperatures were 67- 75. this is a tropical storm fred. at one point it was a hurricane. it has been sitting out in the middle of nowhere.

now, some of those showers are working their way back west. it has been a soggy afternoon in parts of howard county. you can see that there is an area of low pressure that is setting up and that area of low pressure will move out throughout the weekend. there were nearly 4 inches in northern baltimore and 1.5 inches of elsewhere. please, do not try to drive on flooded roadways but it does not take a lot of water to cause problems with your car. coming up, we will find out when the brain will quit -- when the raid will quit -- when the rain will quict. >>
