shooting he was involved in. it started at his home this afternoon and ended with a suspect critically injured. police say the suspect put a gun to the back of the off duty of a surge in his home. the officer chased the suspect for three blocks. he then opened fire. our reporter spoke with the suspect showed some remorse. >> at one time he put his hands up. >> what did he say? >> i am sorry, man. he was apologizing for what ever he did. police say they found a fourth shell casings that the not belong to the officer's gun. the suspect may have a fired before he was wounded. the hot -- the suspect remains in the hospital in critical condition. up at the bottom of a 75 foot and bank debt. he left his girlfriend a voice that is where he would be. police are not sure if he jumped or fell.

it is unclear if the man may have fallen since the injuries are not consistent with a suicide attempt. it took about 25 workers to rescue him. howard county will spend 18 abusing a 14 year-old student. cuaderes, a teacher at a charter school pled guilty today. police began their investigation after they received a tip. he led a male student to his home. he will have to register as a child sex offender. tonight maryland state police need help finding two child sex for registration. they are gary wayne smith and howard walter. if you know where these men are, contact state police. >

we of looking at 68 degrees downtown. 62 at the airport. a similar start to what we saw a guest today. it may be warmer today. we topped out at 81 yesterday. today it may be more 85. 73 for the mountains of western maryland. it will break down like mostly sunny this morning. 85 degrees, the forecast high. it feels like a summer. it might be a while before we see temperatures in the mid a's again. 83 degrees on shore. the winds are beginning light throughout the daytime hours out of the west at about 5 miles per hour. 5-10 knots. waves are only 1 foot or less.
