a 20 year-old had admitted to fatally cutting the man with a samurai sword. a call was made to campus police from a neighbor. an off-duty police officer responded and searched the area. unlocked. police say the students decided to conduct a second search including the garage and found everything as it should be. >> the suspect was down. >> police say the suspect lungedhe fatally cut the man. >> we do not believe there was criminal intent in this case. the student feared for his life and was defending himself.

we have a chance of showers however. >> anke. -- thank you. >> baltimore city police say they have a better understanding of what haven't tuesday morning. just after 8:00 p.m. monday, some john hopkins students reported their laptop stolen. six hours later, a neighbor had called campus police searched the area with an off duty police officer. they did not find anything suspicious. the students conducted their own search. they found everything as it should be, but they found the suspect hiding in a corner. the suspect lunged at one of the students who was holding a
