there is a cold front gradually working in this direction that will bring the temperature back down. sprinkles of light showers up to the north and west of us and in southern pennsylvania. in western maryland, some showers and a couple of lightning strikes. the outside chance that a light shower or a brief thunderstorm will roll through maryland as we head to that evening hours but most spots will remain dry. we are on the one side of this approaching front, temperatures today well above normal. 84 degrees at the airport. the morning low of 66, 12 degrees above the average for the day. on average, the median for the day is about 10 above normal, a warm start to the new season. 87 right now that hagerstown.
