>>a postdoctoral fellow at the university of maryland hospital is getting the drug charges. >> the girlfriend also died. investigators say person injected a drug. it was to help them with their dependency on heroin. she was pronounced dead in the university hospital. her boyfriend told investigators that he had been buying drugs online. possession. >>a maryland family is mourning the loss of a marine who was in afghanistan. our reporter spoke with the family in frederick tonight. with their story. county and joined the marines a few years after high school. and last deployment.

over the weekend, he was shot in the chest and died from his injuries. deployment in afghanistan. he wanted to be a marine since he was a child. he spent eight months in iraq in 2007 and 2008. the family said they always worried about him being overseas. >> that is the way he would have wanted it. he was very proud to be a marine. that was his life. i guess if there was any way for him to go, that was the way. >> he leaves behind a wife, three siblings, parents, and grandparents. funeral arrangements are still being made. franciotti, back to you.

shot in the wrist. they are both in critical but stable condition right now. police have not identified a suspect or a possible motive for the shootings. finding a serial rapist. of the man. this occurred near park heights and cold spring lane. it happened around september 20. forced to another location where she was raped. >> there are cameras in the area that are able to get some footage of of that. we are able to obtain a composite drawing based on the victim's information. >> anyone with information about the crime should call the city police crimes unit. the boys accused of shooting a door ordered to be held without bail. they had a brief hearing today.

both teenagers shot the detective at least three times while trying to rob him outside of his northwest baltimore home. he fired back. the teenagers face numerous charges including attempted murder. the man convicted of killing a woman when he crashed his pickup truck in a home will spend 20 years in prison. he blacked out behind the wheel from drug and alcohol use and drove straight into the bedroom of the home. he was found guilty of auto manslaughter and grand theft. attacking a black fisherman. they had charges of assault, hate crimes and armed robbery. if convicted, they could spend 85 years in prison.

morning. an accident affecting southbound i-95 souttaking up to lanes. it is creating some delays. is right around baltimore national pipe down towards 295. it is backing down from the beltway. let's take a look at a problem spot in middle river. this involves a pedestrian. much of the land close to their. 14 minutes on the outer loop west side. delays continue to grow with that accident. over to you. >> no showers out there this morning. a dry day but a windy day.
