as night falls in the 1600 block of franklin street, you can hear doors closing. residents are scared. word spread quickly about the attack and rape of their neighbor. police believe this is what the suspect looks like. he is in his early 20s, a medium to dark complexion. detectives say he forced his way into the home. >> he proceeded to sexually assault her. >> detectives characterize him as ruthless. the children were at the house during the time of the rape. for some, that there seems to carry an extra -- the air seems to carry an extra chill. police say the victim does not know the assailant.

police are hoping somebody recognizes the composite sketch of the suspect. >> hopefully they can give them a call at the number. >> judging from community reaction, if the suspect is from the neighborhood, it will not be long. >> i think it was wrong for him to do that and her kids were in there, too. she probably was in shock. >> detectives ask anyone who has information to call them at the number on your screen. >> baltimore city police need your help finding a driver who they say drag an officer 5 blocks. rickey hughes showed up at the western district to meet with officers. he took off when he realized there was a warrant out for his

arrest. the officer was hanging out of the car. >> it was pretty obvious when you have an officer hanging out of your window. >> the officer is in fair and stable condition in shock trauma. he did not get hurt too badly. >> another officer fired shots at the car, shooting out the back window. the baltimore city police officer has been charged with illegal possession of narcotics, misconduct in office, and theft. the charges were filed against the 29-year-old officer. investigators set up an undercover sting in september where he stole $70. he is now out on bail. >> it has been a year since the mother of three vanished, but

the mystery tonight is over. the body of mia nichols was found over the weekend. can they see has more. >> the family did not want to speak on camera but her brother told me over the phone that the detectives did a good job. the mystery of what happened to mia nichols has haunted her family and police for nearly a year. she vanished last year. her car was found parked outside the home that she shared with her boyfriend. the mystery was solved on saturday when the two hunters found her body near dogwood road. >> the city detectives were trying to solve this crime and then when the hunters found the remains, that was the piece that they needed to put it together.

>> the boyfriend, tyrone webb, was charged with the murder. detectives began to expect him -- suspect him early on in the investigation. one witness said mia was crying at work that day. the documents say investigators discovered a history of violence in the relationship and speculate on a possible motive that escalated an already volatile situation tyrone got another woman pregnant. do to tyrone webb's physical abuse, asking him to leave would have infuriated him. >> we did not hear anything. it nothing that gave us bad vibes that something was going on, to the extent where it this

happened. >> the documents do not detail the circumstances surrounding her demise, but the place of death is listed in the woods where her body was found. tyrone webb is being held without bail. >> days after a 14-year-old middle school student died from the h1n1 flu, 11 news has learned of two more cases in baltimore city schools. even the city health officials have not confirmed a case, letters were to be sent home alerting parents of a confirmed case of the h1n1 flu. several students were picked up by their parents. >> she is on antibiotics.
