southbound 95 an accident as you approach 195. another accident location for you. six minutes on southbound 95 down toward the fort mchenry split. it is a slow go this morning. if you can get out early to warm up your car and clear of the snow, it will work to your advantage. if you are traveling on the topside of the beltway, so far so good. roads are passable. the side streets are wet. you will see some ice and slick spot out there. be careful and you should be ok. in live view of traffic. researching for the accident on 95. hopefully it is not there. that is the latest. over to you. >> our big story this morning, the weather and road conditions.

crews have been out all night trying to clear the roadways for the commute this morning. >> we will check on how it is affecting schools. we will check with our reporter in reisterstown. >> i have my own unofficial way to measure these no -- measure the snow. i stick my foot in here. we do not have that much. it is only up to my ankle or so. i am very short, but it is still several inches on the ground. the roadways are looking pretty good. we had no problems getting out here this morning. reisterstown road is looking very nice to my left. some of the side streets could still be slushy. be careful there. the roads are still wet. use extra caution this morning. trucks are out salting to make

sure everything goes smoothly. here is a look at roland park. >> i have a similar situation. we have been monitoring the progress of some very vigilant people who have been shoveling snow on the sidewalks this morning. but at the area they have cleared out. it is very impressive. they are being very proactive. this is a small salt truck that is trying to get the side roads and sidewalks. an active morning here on roland park avenue. there is a huge scale that goes up to a school behind us. they have been working diligently to get that cleared out insulted because of the school which is right there. so far -- and salted because of

spend 20 years behind bars due to a deadly stabbing of a classmate. he pleaded guilty in november 2008 to stamping a boy outside of a middle school -- stabbing a boy and outside of a middle school. a man reportedly assaulted a girl in a church last month. he is a registered sex offender. he is being held without bail at the detention center. an arraignment is scheduled for next monday. >> gov. martin o'malley is calling on legislators to enact his plan for job creation in maryland. federal dollars intended for small businesses are encouraged.

>> i expected the roads to be worse, but coming in this morning they were not bad. we are doing a locate for the most part. hollen smells, and accidents location there. somewhat germane -- owings mills some accident location there. water main breaks in a couple of areas. one in pasadena on mountain road. the white marsh area is still moving well. some slow spots on the west side. here is a live look at traffic. liberty road is moving well.

the roads are passable and in good shape as you head around the area. the accident is off to the side. we are off to a good start. let us get the latest on the buses and trains. >> mta buses are diverting and treated areas. look for a bus on a main street if you would normally catcher bus on a secondary street. some bosses diverted on the side such as the 14. the 59 is -- the 15 best also has a diversion -- bus also has a diversion.

now back to tony pann. >> good morning. i think the morning crews did a good job this morning clearing the roads. the side streets may be a little bit of a problem. the storm is pulling away to the east. some shower activity on the eastern shore counties. that is it. give it an hour and things should be clear if it is snowing at your house. a two-4 inch snowfall. 2 inches at bwi. temperatures are warmer than they were over the weekend. we are barely below freezing here.

economy will lose thousands of jobs last month. look at the weekly unemployment data. all of this leading to the january jobs report that comes out on friday. a higher close for stocks yesterday, second day in a row. valentine's day is over the long holiday weekend. consumers expect more than 8% in restaurants this year during the holiday. sunday valentine's day is likely to hurt flowers, candy, and jewelry sales. purchases for pets may climb 51%. back to you.
