most of last night's storm was cleared up by the time computers hit the road this morning. things were much better than expected. things were moving smoothly for much of the morning commute, but some roads were slick. the snowfall also meant that people around the region had to get up a little bit earlier to clear off their car and sidewalk. some had extra time. the upside of the storm, some beautiful scenery. new details on a home invasion that said two to the hospital, one in critical condition. police say it happened when two masked men burst into a home on williamsburg the land. they overpowered a 74-year-old man and shot him several times. a 21-year-old woman was also found suffering from blunt force trauma injuries, but it is not

clear what caused them. the suspects are described as a white, 5 feet 8 inches with a medium build. investigators are looking into the possibility that the victims were targeted. as mayor sheila dixon prepared to step down from office, the prosecutor who brought the trial to court has some harsh words about her recent behavior. anger over her recent comments to the press that the gifts she received did not amount to much, state prosecutor took aim at the mirror, calling her attitude of arrogance and shameful. he went on to write -- to read the entire memo, click on the local news section at wbaltv.com. as stephanie rawlings blake prepares to move to the mayor's office, she has announced her

temperatures will drop. 21 in the outlying areas, 27 downtown. high pressure will be building in here. we are concerned about friday. there is low pressure in the gulf producing copious amounts of rainfall. all of this energy moving up the mid-atlantic and midwest. it is too early to commit to any storm totals four types of precipitation, but at this point, it looks like there will be a lot of energy. we are forecasting a major weather event of some sort. we just do not want to get lost in any accumulation totals at this point. tomorrow will be sunny. here is a look at the seven-day. just a pair for some other this weekend. 60% chance of a wintry mix on friday.

maybe some snow on saturday. something we are watching closely. >> it is more impersonal than going to a doctor but new statistics show in 2009, more than half americans use the internet for health information. statistics show 5% had spoken with a doctor over e-mail and 6% use the internet to fill a prescription. a slightly smaller group had used chat room to learn about a specific topic. the survey also found women were more likely than men to use the internet as a resource. but do not spend too much time on line. too much time on the internet could be a risk factor for depression. research this study 1300 adults and found just over 1% were addictive. they found that those were more slightly -- more likely to suffer from depression.

those two spend too much time on the internet often replaced real-life social interactions which can have a negative impact on mental health. doctors are sounding the bells on the connection between oral cancer and young people. >> the more commonplace as on the side of the tongue. >> a regular ticker cleaning include a cancer screening if he is your dentist. >> this is not due to alcohol or drugs, but hpv. >> he is able to detect the allegiance with this device. hpv can also lead to cancers of the mouth. >> a lot of different behaviors have consequences. >> oral cancer kills one person every hour.
