>> baltimore county police tell us that the owner of this gas station was seriously wounded. this is the 1600 block of east joppa road bridge -- of east joppa road. investigators are not sure of a motive, although attempted robbery is considered a strong possibility. a man entered the building, confronted the owner, and shot the owner with a handgun. a detective explains what officers saw when they arrived. >> they found the witness and the victim inside the gas station in this location. the victim, the owner of the gas station, was suffering from old gunshot wounds. the victim was transported to shock trauma hospital, where he is being treated. >> so far we have not been able to get a condition report on the victim. police are continuing

investigation, and are looking for the shooter, but they describe as a male about six feet tall and 25 years old. he was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt. anyone who may have information is asked to call police -- 410- 307-2020. >> baltimore city police need your help in locating the missing 14-year-old girl. david johnson was last seen in her home at bethel street 5:31 evening. rather tells 11 news that she does not have a lot of friends at the -- her mother tells 11 news that she does not have a lot of friends and the neighborhood but spends a lot of time on social networking sites. prosecutors plan to wrap up their case against cult members accused of starving a 1- year-old to that. they are accused of denying

westminster is still on it still -- and the 20's and 30's out to the mountains west of us. this was over long island, went to massachusetts. it is looping around the atlantic. but far enough away that it is not really affecting the weather. out to the west, though, we see another one of these swirling storms over taxes. -- over texas. it is headed this way, and will bring the moisture from the gulf. it looks like this one will go over the ocean and not up the coast line. again, it is going to be one of these coastal storms. what is that, five now, this season? the tests have been stronger. 45 to 49.

tonight, increasing clouds, as the storm in texas throws cloud cover our way. 29 to 33 is the overnight low. watch the time line. by tomorrow afternoon, we will begin to see moisture coming in. eventually, by sunset, either rain or snow, depending on temperatures. there will be a shallow layer of warm air. at 7:00 in the morning, some snow. that snow-rain makes will be with us through the day. this does not look like a big precipitation-maker for us. tomorrow's forecast is cloudy, and by evening, snow or rain. seven-day forecast has the rain and snow mix. none of this looks like substantial stuff. a flurry on thursday. by next weekend, we get a

weekend with sunshine and temperatures around 50. >> to night, nbc kicks off its new prime-time lineup. jay leno moves to his old "tonight show" spot, leaving the 10:00 p.m. slot (one of the show's replacing him is "parenthood." joining us is the star, lauren graham there has been a lot of juggling to come up with the best possible prime-time nbc lineup. do you feel added pressure? >> i mean, there is just so much pressure, because we are one of the first shows out of the gate at the 10:00 p.m. slot. we want to do our bosses proud, ron howard and brian grazer and the memory of the amazing movie they made it is a great cast, and have supported us and promoted the showb. it is wonderful, it is about

something, and funny and sad, and about family and i am justly proud of it. i think we will do ok. >> there is a lot of buzz around the show, a family drama were you paid a single mother of teenagers who decides to move on to have support of our family pretty played a single mom on "gilmore girls" but i hear this is a departure from that role. >> it is a similar because they are single moms. but being a mom is just one a trait of a character. the whole show has may be a more grown up field, i guess. my relationship with these television kids is not like the other tv relationships. she is really struggling, trying to put our life back together, and moving back into your family is not a picnic at any age. i just think that the town of the show is very different, -- tone of the show is very

different, even though i am playing a single mom. >> you have a great cast behind you. craig t. nelson place your dad. what is the most challenging thing about capturing a family like this? >> just how messy it is, when you sit around a table and people are talking -- around each talking talking over each other. and just the real feeling of an extended family. they have done a great job capturing the sound, and they run three cameras at a time and let us overlap and improvise and talk over each other. i think we're doing a good job of capturing some of the specific sound of what a family sounds like. i think that is a writer, who created "friday night lights," does a great job of creating these very complicated and interesting relationships between the brothers and sisters and kids. it is just a great world but i
