>> a prince george's county police officer is suspended tonight after he was caught on video beating a college student. it happened during a chaotic celebration last month when the college beat duke in a basketball game. our reporter has the very latest. >> this incident happened more than a month ago. the video tape is out now, and it tells a very different story than what police had been saying up to this point. >> i was very disappointed to see the officers on the tape. i want to make sure it there is a fair and impartial investigation, but diaz are not going to be justified or making any conclusions. >> by late this afternoon, the police chief was expressing regret and disappointment for what this video so clearly shows.

this student is suddenly slammed into a wall by three officers and beaten repeatedly while down on the ground and defenseless. many questions remain. >> the officers know who they are. they have not come forward. other officers must know who they are. we believe this is an incident of police officers protecting their own. somebody should step forward and tell them to these officers are. >> we have not heard from other officers. there are a number of people investigating this as we speak. there is an arrogance the to this. >> police have not always been so forthcoming. charging document alleged that the student attacked the horse's first. >> the charging document are a complete fabrication. they are fabricated for a specific purpose. they are fabricated to cover up police misconduct. >> student on campus are outraged, but do not see this as

west baltimore. they were responding to a call when the incident happened. they were evaluated in the shock trauma. all but one have now been released and treated. there were no injuries at the fire which was in a vacant home. >> a teenager accused of shooting a 5-year-old girl is now in hand of a jury. we have been following the trial and our live at the courthouse with the latest. >> 6-year-old raven why it was here in court today. she is one of the shooting victims. the case against lamont davis went to the jury this afternoon. the prosecution and the defense but agreed that the surveillance video shows a chaotic situation. what does it prove that davis

was the shooter, or that he was not in the area? he is accused of shooting a by- year-old in the head while also aiming for another teenager. -- a 5-year-old in the head, while also aiming for another teenager. he is accused of leaving the area and coming back with a semi-automatic gun. he was wearing a gps monitoring device that was used to track his moves while he was on a home detention. his lawyer says he has -- prosecution says he should plead guilty because the evidence proves he is. the defense says that another person is guilty.

there will be showers early tonight, but then as the skies cleared out. this trend will wash out, and we will see a good deal of sunshine for wednesday and thursday. we do not have to worry about the next front until later in the day on friday. with the sunny skies come a significant warming up but by friday evening, the temperatures will change again as we get more rain. even western maryland will warm up. they could get close to the 60 degree mark as the word comes in across the mountains by the ohio valley. it will be in the low 60 bozo's tomorrow around the bay. -- low 60's tomorrow around the bay. the debate water temperatures will be in the upper-50's.
