because we have not seen that many cases where officers have been charged with excessive force. >> the three officers have been suspended without pay. they face numerous charges, including kidnapping, and assault. new information this afternoon about the murder of the university of virginia student. a police say 22 year-old told them that rage caused him to kick in the door to his ex girlfriend's room early monday morning. court documents say that during a fight, he repeatedly shook loved slamming her head against the wall. the defense attorney says that her death was a tragic accident, not a case of premeditated murder. a howard county family continues to push for more domestic violence education in most -- in schools. bill and michele mitchell lost their daughter back in 2005 at the hand of her boyfriend in a deadly stabbing. the family was unaware of the

on the books. gov. o'malley signed legislation yesterday requiring lifetime supervision of people convicted of the most severe sex crimes. it mandatory 15 prison sentence for people with more serious sex offenses. another measure gives school districts the authority to transfer students charged with a crime away from the school attended by their victims. it broadens the judge's ability to get more jail time in gang- related conviction. a bill introduced at last night's meeting could change the way some employees are paid in baltimore city. it will require major retailers that grossed more than $10 million a year to pay workers slightly more than $10 per hour. the bill is sponsored by mary pat clark. it must pass the labor subcommittee before a full council vote. >> what a picture postcard perfect day out there. it is absolutely lovely.

possible violence from if armed man. baltimore county police say it stemmed from a domestic related incident and ultimately made no respite the campus was reopened around 11:00. if federal home in prince george's county is shut down after inspectors find dozens of bodies that were supposed to be cremated, stacked in the garage. the state board of morticians and a funeral directors suspended the license of the chamber's funeral home in riverdale. a total of 40 bodies were found. the funeral home has until friday to dispose of the bodies, as promised. after that, it will be closed. the world of baseball has lost one of its premiere invoices. harwell had a career standings -- spanning six decades, including five years as the first radio voice of the baltimore orioles. he switched off the mike in 2002. he died of cancer yesterday. he was 92.
