1. she long-term campaign $100,000. most believe jessamy is in the political life of her life. four years ago, her opponent did very little campaigning but had 20% of the vote. at that time, political observers chalk that up to a protest vote. jessamy calls the 2010 race the most divisive, but not the toughest. she charges that bernstein has completely distorted her record. >> these are all misrepresentations about a record that is built on that occasion, service, honesty, fairness, and justice. >> jessamy needs strong voter turnout especially from her base of supporters. outside of polling places, some of her volunteers are urging them to vote for bernstein. a low voter turnout could help bernstein who launched an aggressive campaign tagging bird -- tagging jessamy as part of the status quo.

one. turnout is a light across the state. in baltimore city cut 10.5%. and the baltimore county, 10%. polls opened at 7:00 a.m. in baltimore city, turnout was light. by 9:00 a.m., 6000 people had voted. election judges were disappointed. >> this is a lot less. normally by now we would have at least somewhere in the area of 160 voters. right now we only have 100. speaks to what the day will look like. more than 50,000 voters had been to the poll. varmus died jones called this unbelievable -- armistad jones called this unbelievable. >> a lot of people seem to be not happy with the status quo.

arrested two people in a deadly stabbing. they found jerimiah at demario in hampstead last night. he had been stabbed into the chest and was taken to the hospital where he later died. they arrested 22-year-old lederer and glover. the test -- more testimony today in the trial of city councilman ken harris. they watched the surveillance of the robbery and heard from the new haven lounge where harris was killed. covington said he heard a single shot as he was forced back inside. he told the jurors he did not know harris had been shot and killed until police arrived on the scene. >> this man walked into the bank of america on the 600 block in the pikesville. he handed the teller a note demanding money. the suspect fled on foot.

much change. very nice conditions vary -- all the way down to the coast. they have called back a couple of degrees now. on the cooler side of things in allegheny county. 68 degrees. we have seen some scattered high clouds at times. the high-pressure generally in the control which will produce high winds. near the pennsylvania border, we can see some temperatures in the low 50's by morning. closer to the low 60's @ inner harbor. we have seen some cold front dropping out of canada and trying to push toward our region. the most recent showers at the canadian border have been running out of steam and moisture. we have a couple of scattered clouds associated with that. that is what we're seeing today. the front went through our region almost unnoticed and then scattered cloud cover.

high pressure coming in behind it should deliver another beautiful day tomorrow. this front may be of little stronger and more organized as it comes in thursday evening which is the next best chance for rain. tomorrow will be a beauty. highs from 77-82 and a west breeze at 6-12 miles per hour. sunrise is at 6:48 a.m. and will go down at 7:15 p.m. on the day tomorrow, western wins a wider than today with waves around 1 foot. now advisories for the water tomorrow. water temperatures around 75 degrees. a beautiful day out in the western maryland mountains. near the bay, sunshine in abundance with temperatures right around 80 degrees. brands will be lighter out of the west mark. lower eastern shore, of warmer with mostly sunny skies.

ocean city and surrounding areas should have beautiful. tomorrow. hurricane eagar has been a car packed storm. -- hurricane igor has been a power-packed store. the eye of the storm is well- defined and continues to produce with estimates of 145 miles per hour at the center. 155 miles per hour and above this category five. it might even get a little rubber deceiving. further to the north, you can see the clouds moving from west to east. it will encounter this wester the share which will start to weaken the story a little bit. this will generally move in the direction of bermuda. and little further east, julia has become a hurricane. it is now a category one. the big what is hurricane igor. a category four storm about 180 miles from hamilton, bermuda.

it does look like we will see this storm weakening but moving in the general direction of bermuda. this bread, is the possibility. you can see a wide range of possible tax, but the center line is the most likely. that will take it pretty close to bermuda with still category three status with 115 mile per hour winds. with any luck, it will weaken a little further and not have a direct hit. something to watch over the next few days as hurricane igor heads toward bermuda. high pressure producing sunshine tomorrow and 80 degrees. in the 50's in the morning. a chance for scattered showers thursday night. clearing out on friday, a beautiful weekend. sunshine saturday and sunday with highs around 80 degrees. >> 11 sports with gerry sandusky. >> we keep from the ravens training facility where it is a quick turnaround. coaches are beginning

preparation for next sunday's road trip to cincinnati. they go into week two with a 1-0 record and the assurance they still have a great defense. we will look back on last that's game against the jets. it started shaky, to say the very least. flacco held the ball too long. this led to the fondle -- fumble. is the disaster for the defense, but the jets were held to a field goal. a 3-0 lead off of the turnover. flacco putting together a scoring drive. his first ravens reception, a 27-yard gain. this was following a death penalty which would extend into the red zone. the ravens first touchdown of the season. but despite three first half turnovers, the ravens went into the locker room with a 7-6 lead in front of the jets. in the second half, they traded field goals, but the game was

about the defense. there were 1-eleven for third- down conversions. brave the with blue of the backfield on this third down as they stopped the damien thomason -- the stopped ladanian tomlinson. this kept keller on his heels. the jets' final offensive play kalikow had a chance to extend the hopes for a first down. instead, he runs out of bounds when yard shy. the lingering effects from the reign of louis hits leave the ravens 1-0 with a 10-9 win in the meadowlands. >> the offense made some plays. we made some plays. the bottom line, the game has to be played.

my commute home to the eastern shore every night only takes an hour but that's more time than congress spends reading massive spending bills, it's crazy. that's why i wrote a law that requires 72 hours to read every bill. i read the big bills and i said no. no to the $3 trillion budget, no to the bank bailout, and no to the health care bill. at home you would never pay a bill without reading it neither should congress. i'm frank kratovil and i approve this message because i'm proud to be ranked one of the most independent members of congress.
