attorney. >> it was a close battle between patricia jessamy and gregg bernstein. in the in, bernstein came out on top. jennifer franciotti is live with more on the outcome. >> that race was so close that a lot of the results were not in until 1:45 this morning. all of the precincts have reported in. bernstein has 49% of the vote and jessamy, 47%. early on, patricia jessamy were in a good mood and celebrating the woman and her career. many here were hopeful the city state's attorney would get another term. jessamy was optimistic. >> it has been a pleasure to be out among the citizens of baltimore city. >> supporters of gregg bernstein

rallied to watch the returns. he came to thank his supporters. many spent the day at the preccts. they took the day off to support bernstein. he talked about how his campaign was able to gain so much traction. >> i think what made this race become such a focal point was it captains to the level of frustration people were feeling about living in one of america's most dangerous cities. i do not know if it is a question of what patricia jessamy did or didn't do. it was people's frustration with crime in the city. after 15 years, people of baltimore would like to see change. >> bernstein believes that race with more than 1400 votes. observers said jessamy would need a strong voter turnout.

she did not have that. voter turnout was at 13.6%. reporting live, jennifer franciotti, wbal-tv 11 news. >> the voting tally for baltimore county executive has not been completed. there were some voting date issues. kevin kamenetz is ahead of joe bartenfelder with 52% of the vote. the final vote count is expected to be completed around noon today. now we have team coverage. >> we hear from deborah weiner who is that the kamenetz campaign headquarters. >> he was saying it was impossible to project a winner or loser because of problems with computers. kamenetz addressed supporters earlier and sounded hopeful. >> you make me feel great. the voters of baltimore county

are making me feel great. all of our signs are positive. we're running better than expected in almost every part of the county. >> the campaign is not expecting solid numbers until after noon. plans for the whole day remain unclear. deborah weiner, wbal-tv 11 news. >> the numbers have been trickling in very slowly. still no official results. joe bartenfelder thanked the nearly 300 people who gathered here all night long for their support. >> we are waiting for more numbers to come in from the northwest section of the county. until they get the computers back up, we will not have those numbers. the bottom line is each and every one of view, thank you very much.
