nation still baffled this morning after tragedy strikes one of the most unlikely of places. >> police say a man opened fire at johns hopkins hospital in injury to a doctor and killing his mother and then himself. jennifer franciotti is live outside johns hopkins hospital with more details. >> it will be business as usual at the hospital. a gunman opened fire inside what is considered one of the best hospitals in the world. police swarmed johns hopkins following reports that someone had shot a doctor and then barricaded himself inside a hospital room. the suspect was originally identified as warren davis. >> the doctor collapsed outside the doorway of the room. mr. davis was last seen running into the room brandishing a

handgun in the direction of his mother who is confined to the bad. >> police said davis' real name is paul pardus. parts of the hospital were evacuated and on lockdown for some time. police entered the room to find pardus and his mother dead from single gunshot wounds to the had. >> at this point we're treating this case as a murder-suicide. >> how was somebody able to get inside the hospital with a gun? he was not searched for weapons. there are no metal detectors at any of the exits and entrances. >> put a magnetometer at 80 doors and the required armed force that would need to be

>> he said he makes one tackle every six weeks and says he felt like a train hit him. >> somebody get the license plate of the train. >> thank you. >> a tragic scene in east baltimore when a man opened fire inside the nelson building at johns hopkins hospital. the man, paul pardus, pulled a gun on a doctor after becoming upset. after shooting in injury the doctor, we're told he locked himself in his mother's room. swat teams from the city of baltimore county were called to the scene. authorities learned pardus had shot and killed his mother as well as himself. the doctor has been identified as dr. david cohen and he is expected to be ok. that brings us to your answers
