annual saved school council and touched on the issue and how it affects schools and policies. >> we have a positive behavior planning approach to problems such as bullying. what the problems from a three tiered response and a problem- solving approach. >> spokesperson said the just received a copy of the lawsuit and so they are not commenting pending legislation. now back to you. >> thank you. a settlement has been reached in a civil suit stemming from a deadly crash on the chesapeake bay bridge back in 2008. john short was killed when is a tractor-trailer went into the bay after swerving to avoid a car. police say baldwin head out all in her system but not enough to file criminal charges against him. he will receive the maximum payout through her insurance.

it also looks like matthew or some other storm developing in the caribbean make it close to us or across florida or somewhere around the eastern seaboard by next weekend. here is the forecast. lisa is way out in the atlantic ocean. sunday, monday, but into tuesday, matthew would change from a tropical storm to just a depression over the yucatan peninsula. there is a lot of rain down there. we will hear stories about flooding. matthew or some other storm by next weekend may provide some rent for us. our forecast does not go out that far. it only goes out seven days. 92 today and humid. 84 tomorrow. we will not the temperatures down 10 degrees and take the humidity down. tomorrow looks like a nice day. sunday looks ok but we pick up

years, a woman has been put to death by the u.s. at justice system. teresa lewis died by lethal injection in virginia. she was on death row for arranging the murders of her husband and a stepson to collect and insurance payout. she was the first woman executed in virginia in nearly a century. four people are dead after a shooting inside a home in seattle, washington. investigators heard gunshots inside the home when they arrived on the scene. the woman suspected of being the shooter was found dead. what is not clear it is why the shots were fired to begin with. schools in new jersey may have lost out on the race to the top, but the have an important friend on facebook. $100 million will be pledged to

90-minute delay at queen anne's and kent counties. no pre-k for queen anne's. watch the fog this morning. there could be some dense patches out there. it will burn out and then it will get hot and humid. >> thank you. a howard county family has filed a lawsuit against the school board pick what they say the otect theired to presvent child from police. >> the howard county school board is not talking about the lawsuit. the family is suing for two counts of gross negligence. there are serious allegations, according to the suit which was filed tuesday. a sixth grade student at

patapsco middle school was bullied by a group of students beginning in 2007. he suffered violence, including being stabbed by pencils and drumsticks, being pushed into lockers and other such acts. the issue of bullying has gone a lot of attention in schools around the country. baltimore cabbages help their annual safe school conference and touched on the issue of how it affects their school and policies. >> we have a positive planning approach to problems such as bullying. we look from a problem solving approach. >> the point is to take care of the problem before it escalates. >> the student would be more impacted enemy developed an actual diagnosable disorders such as an exciting disorder or dramatic stress disorder. >> the faculty did not step in

to stop the bleeding and that the boy suffered dramatic posed stress disorder and needed to be placed inside a different school. a spokesperson said they just received a copy and they cannot comment on the litigation. >> police have a suspect in custody in connection with a double shooting earlier this week. brooks is now accused of shooting a man and woman in front of a cemetery monday night. the male victim is in critical condition after being shot several times in the chest. the woman was shot twice in the leg. police are trying to get to the bottom of a murder that took place in the middle of a day. this was on north broadway. the victim was taken to the hospital but did not survive. anyone with information on this case is asked to call police.

we have 58 days of 90 or hotter. the old record was 54. to date will be number 59. not even an inch of rainfall. that leaves us over two inches short for the month and the year. we could use some rain. it is not in the immediate forecast. annapolis, 71. on the boardwalk, 70. 69, edgewood. 67 in westminster. in the 60's in far western maryland. we see more of the red and a little bit on the humid side. here is the warm front move again. but tonight, early on saturday, this cool front will be coming in. behind it, cool temperatures, less humidity. the degrees will be stepping down as we go through the weekend.

90 to 95 this weekend. humidity levels will be up, but not as high as in july. southwest winds of about 5 to 15 miles per hour. the sun said its earlier and .arlier each evening pyrrhi a cool front approaching from the west. it indicates some cloudiness. there might be a sprinkle. it doesn't look like much. it is not very impressive. the front goes through essentially dry. we will see more moisture to the south on sunday. there will be a disturbance down there. during the day on sunday, we will probably pick up some clouds and maybe some rain showers. that will start to get close to us by sunday night. 92 today and humid.
