the state lodge of the fraternal order of police gave its endorsement to republican bob ehrlich. here is a look at the latest television ad from the bomb early campaign. the ad slams the b g e rates, a major issue during the 2006 election, an issue that ehrlich claims o'malley promised to fix. that shows a clip of o'malley talking about a better economy, but the employment rate at -- an employment rate has increased. in baltimore city, the search continues tonight for the gunman who shot a man on the city's northwest side. police a shot refer shortly before 5:00 this morning in the 3500 block of hebert ave. we are told a 32-year-old man was shot multiple times in the chest. at last check he was in critical condition and there is no word on a possible motive.

40-year-old charles wallace jr. has been arrested for an early morning shooting that sent a man to shock trauma. he is charged with first-degree murder, first-degree assault, and handgun violations. the man was rushed to shock trauma and is expected to survive. a 5 k run will be held tomorrow in honor of yeardley love, this do you was murdered last may. a graduate of notre dame prep, the school will hold a fund- raiser tomorrow to raise money for a new field in love's name. a judge in charlottesville's said a preliminary -- said a preliminary date for our board friend who is charged with her murder. it is not unusual to see a police officer at a doughnut shop, but what about one hanging out on the roof of a doughnut shop?

>> if you are in the market for new flat screen tv, hold out for the holiday season. an oversupply is forcing companies to drop their prices, and units are 5% less than this time last year. according to cnn monday, over the next three months, prices are expected to drop to less than 12% -- 12% less than 2009 prices. some are as low as $199. last winter, energy bill spiked, thanks to the cold temperatures and back-to-back blizzards. the share prices are expected to be between 2% and 11% higher.

the lower dewpoints have made considerably drier, more comfortable, and the temperatures fall correspondingly. 56 at pittsburg, 53 in chicago. we will not get the cold as of that air, but it will be more comfortable here. there is a rain out there, too. here is one front that is trying to pass through. another one is washing out. the key is there will be a boundary, a divider between the coolest of the air and the warm, stickies osticky stuff. eventually there will be a chance for some rain. tonight, cooler temperatures, a 57-62 with a light north wind. tomorrow because will get bigger which hours after sunset. game time tomorrow, 1:00 in the afternoon downtown.
