attacked. >> a suspect approached a student of the trade school here at security mall. he was walking through the mall and stabbed the victim in the back. the suspect then fled from the scene. >> right now, police do not have a motive behind the attack and no one else was injured. >> a self confessed white supremacist who goes by the nickname hitler was sentenced today for beating an elderly african-american fishermen. he pleaded guilty to the 2009 attack on the 77-year-old. he and two teens were accused of beating him and stealing his car. >> in a -- in accordance to the plea that we worked out, judge williams sentenced him to be 31 years in prison today.

>> he lost two teeth and suffered a broken eye socket in the attack called the experience extremely stressful. >> jurors in the ken harris murder trial said that their testimony from a dna specialist today. >> not much as far as fireworks today in the ken harris murder trial. only one witness called to the stand, a dna expert. she showed dna evidence that the prosecution says links all three defendants to the crime. their attorneys disagree. >> the start of the third week of testimony in the ken harris murder trial centered around one witness monday, a dna analyst with the baltimore police department to process the dna lab work and wrote a report concerning the dna evidence. kelly miller showed almost a dozen different results

concerning latex gloves, bandannas, and the infamous mask that was found near the murder scene. miller testified that the defendant was found on the mask as well as one of the bandanas. miller also told the court that dna of two on known e-mails was found in association with the evidence that was caught recovered to in the scene. defense attorneys spent most of the afternoon trying to poke holes -- poke holes in the dna evidence. asking questions that have the jury ruling its eyes, such as if a plastic beaker used in the case could taint the evidence. other attorneys questioned the data itself, wondering how accurate it was.

baltimore where crews are on the scene of a building collapse. it happened about 3:30 this afternoon. the home is vacant, but crews are sifting the rubble just to make sure there was no one injured. no word tonight on what caused the collapse. >> here is a look at some of our other top stories. baltimore county police are investigating a stabbing inside security square mall. detectives say a student at a trade mall located inside the mall was stabbed in the back. he was taken to shock trauma and there is no word on his condition. a 27 -- a 27-year-old is recovering after she was shot during a domestic dispute. police have arrested and charged stephen joseph brown for attempted first-degree murder. the victim is expected to survive her injuries. four people were thrown from

here in baltimore, we are keeping an eye on heavy rain coming out of eastern north carolina and southern virginia right now. that will continue to work its way north through the evening so it looks like the rain will pick up here in central maryland. that is why the flood watch remains in effect before the western shore of the bay and through hagerstown. the national weather center maintaining not flood watch. eastern shore not under the watch just yet. it has just been so dry it recently that we can take a lot of rain before the flooding occurs. with that -- we already had about an inch at the airport and an harbor. 74 is the normal high. we made it to 78 downtown and 77 at the airports. temperatures are in the low 70's at the eastern shore right now.

we are right around 70 in southern pennsylvania from northern baltimore county. temperatures in the 60's out in the western sections of the state. was the warmth and that helped to trigger severe storms for a while for the middle part of the day. low pressure knack -- down in north georgia will bring -- will come up the last part of the mound as the coming to the morning. once the showers taper off in the morning, the skies would clear up in the middle of the day. wednesday afternoon, heading into thursday, here comes a new batch of grain. some of that grain could be heavy as we head into the middle part of the day on thursday. some on settled weather until about thursday afternoon or evening. showers tomorrow morning, then some sunshine in the afternoon.

there is a gale warning for the chesapeake tomorrow. high-temperature should hit the upper 70's once the rain tapers off tomorrow morning. thunderstorms possible on the lower eastern shore. our seven-day forecast continues the shower activity from wednesday and thursday. skies cleared out on friday. it turns much cooler going into the weekend. it will feel like a fall with highs in the mid 60 pause on saturday and sunday. -- 60's on saturday and sunday. >> one of the city's landmark buildings is getting a new tenant and a new name.
