it is in effect over pennsylvania, new jersey, and parts of new york. tornado warnings were issued for the eastern shore between 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. that purple is radar indicating a possible tornado. in places like cecil county, the storm is heavier, but no major damage has been reported yet. for the western side of the bay there is a watch in effect until 5:00 p.m. the storm will be clearing out as the afternoon progresses. right now, it is pretty mild out there and very humid, 79 degrees downtown. i have more in your 7 day forecast coming up. >> keep in mind that our interactive raider can help you

keep aware of the weather. you can check storms and forecasts that -- at wbaltv.com. homicide detectives are investigating the death. they were called to the scene at 11:30 p.m. last night where they found a man's body in front of a house. his identity has not yet been released. we now know when the trial of a couple accused of the stabbing murder of a johns hopkins researcher will begin. prosecutors say the couple killed the 23-year-old man during a robbery. this was last july. there is evidence at the suspect's, and that ties the couple to the crime. but california man could spend 50 years behind bars for a crash

that killed a pitcher for the angels. yesterday, he was found guilty of a hit and run and dui. he ran a red light, killing three people and seriously injuring a fourth. after a deadly shooting at johns hopkins hospital this month, we have good news. one person who was shot has recovered and is going home. a man shot the doctor which touched off a standoff that ended with the shooter killing himself. there are potential dangers in that the city's ever expanding of vacant houses. firefighters came to the scene around 4:00. fortunately, no one was trapped
