midei. the allegations began back in 2009. he is accused of putting stances into patients' who did not need them. the hospital is open to talking to any patients who believe they have a claim. they will continue to see a fair and satisfactory resolution with patients. an attorney says the hospital is not telling the truth. >> we discussed all 100 of these cases. we met for over 20 hours. st. joseph's medical center is not willing to accept responsibility and they are not willing to take care of the patients they said they would take care of. >> j. miller said he could be falling as many as 100 more lawsuits for other clients.

patients'. >> jennifer franciotti joins us live with the latest. >> the lawsuit names the hospital and the doctor involved. another 100 patients could be filing suits soon. >> they conspired with dr. midei to allow this to go on. >> conspiracy, fraud, and medical negligence -- those are the claims in the new lawsuits filed against st. joseph medical center and dr. mark midei. allegations surfaced that he put stents into arteries of patients who did not need them. st. joseph medical center released a statement saying the hospital is open to talking to any patient who believes he or she has a claim.

in those cases where st. joseph has a corporate medical information, they will continue to seek a fair resolution with those of patients because we have discussed all 100 of those cases. over 20t for hours. >> after there were several other cardiologists reviewing files of those patients. those cardiologists found discrepancies in the medical records. the hospital said that a letter was sent to certain patients is not proof of liability. patients need to demonstrate inappropriate care has caused the injury. miller said they want to work

out a reasonable settlement. dr. mark midei left the hospital in 2009. charges were filed against him. jennifer franciotti, wbal-tv 11 news. >> new developments in the state of slots in maryland. the developer has argued penn national gaming should not be allowed to campaign against a casino near arundel mills mall. and now doug gansler has issued his opinion on this matter. we have details. >> the crowds packed in early and often as the first slots parlor opened up last month. the facility was seen as a win for enthusiastic customers and for its owner, penn national gaming. the company is expected to bring in more than $100 million in its

first year. the company scored yet another win. doug gansler said the lottery commission cannot prevent penn national from supporting the campaign against another casino. gansler roads that the commission may not order penn national gaming to stop funding for the referendum. a court would likely find such an order unconstitutional. the cordish company had argued that penn national support violated the requirement for all slot developers to work together to promote slots in the state. in an interview, david cordish calls the anti-slot tv ads lies. >> you do not mix kids. you have to be over 21.
