trial for killing ken harris were convicted of murder. -- today, two of the three men are on trial. >> they were convicted of conspiracy to commit robbery and other offenses. it is clear the jury struggled with this case. >> i feel that today we have the victory. verdict offers some resolution to the tragic murder occurred of kenneth harris. his death in 2008 was part of the armed robbery of the new haven lounge. the jurors convicted 17-year-old jerome williams and 22-year-old charles mcganey on various charges. >> at the end, he did shake my hand and tell me thank you. >> prosecutors could not prove

who pull the trigger. surveillance video capture the last moments that harris was alive. as he left the bar, the robbery was announced. harris led to his car and was shot in the upper back. the juror apparently did not believe another defendant, gary collins, was guilty. their surveillance video shows two men wearing bandannas and another wearing a mask entering the jazz club immediately after harris was shot. they robbed the place and then run down a hallway, exiting out a back door. the prosecutor argued all three of men conspired to commit robbery and all were equally guilty for what happened. >> i honestly believe that it was something that occurred only at the moment. >> this is one of the largest

and most high-profile cases because of the fact that canada was a city councilman --kenneth was a city councilman. we all felt it very deeply, but we do feel all of the losses. >> only one juror commented, saying i am glad it's over. the defense attorneys said his client is disappointed, but it is clear juror struggled with the case. >> i watched the whole panel while the jury was being rendered. there was clearly descension. that ultimately agreed on the verdict, but i do think that some of the jurors were not satisfied with the outcome. >> prosecutors believe the strongest evidence was the dna of williams found on a mask and the dna of the other two found on bandannas and latex gloves located during the investigation of the murder and robbery.

killed his wife. tracy's friends walked out of the courthouse in tears after the first day of testifying. witnesses told the jurors that tracy had already told her husband she wanted him out of the house and wanted to end the marriage when she disappeared in 2005. she was supposed to go to a concert in washington d.c. that night, but she never showed up. her car was found 11 days later in a glen burnie parking lot. surveillance video shows an unidentified person park and get out of the car. the defense attorneys said the state has only circumstantial evidence. >> our defense is that the state cannot prove beyond a reasonable doubt that there was even a murder committed, much less that my client was guilty of that murder. >> several of tracy's friends and family testified that tracy would not have just picked up , and theher likfe

marriage was strained. >> i am sad because we never found her. that is one thing that we wanted to find her, so i can get breast. >> the state has to prove that dennis killed his wife willingly and deliberately and with premeditation. the trial is expected to last for about a week. >> police discovered the body of a woman at the bottom of an elevator shaft last night. investigators say her body was found about 10:30 inside a vacant building on north tower street. authorities believe the woman was homeless and living in the building, but are not sure if she fell down a shaft or if she was murdered. >> following the murder of a

patient in howard county, three staff members who were on duty at the time have retired. this comes from a story in the baltimore sun citing a union official. a fellow patient has now been charged with murder. an annapolis high school student has been charged as an adult, accused of sexually assaulting a classmate. troy reed was arrested after investigators say he grabbed the victim, forced her into a wooded area, and raped her. it happened right across the street from the school. >> at that time, he became angry and picked up a stick and threw it at her, knocking her to the ground. when she fell to the ground, he maintain control of her on the ground and committed the sexual assault. >> reed is currently being held without bond. >> suspects arrested in

baltimore county's largest drug bust in history are out on bail tonight. judge robert steinberg reduced bail to $75,000 in her bel to $25,000. police arrested them when they found a rented warehouse on canton center drive packed with drugs. police took in more than 640 pounds of marijuana, 407 marijuana plants, $12,000 in cash, and equipment to grow and store the drugs. >> some residents are without water again after still another water main break on their street. repairs should continue for at least another few days. traffic will be rerouted. a few blocks away, another creek flooded the street in december. that is when a 42-inch main

clouds and a high of 75. sunny and mild on the lower eastern shore up to ocean city. we have a hurricane in the atlantic, not too far away. it is southeast of bermuda and getting stronger as the wins have come up over the past 24 hours. you can almost see an eye of the storm trying to form in the satellite tracker. the good news with hurricane otto is that it will not come close to any major land masses. on this track, that is good news for us and also for bermuda. it is staying out in the open waters of the atlantic. 75 tomorrow and 72 on sunday, a great weekend. a chance for a shower monday night into tuesday morning. by wednesday night into thursday, there is another chance for a few showers moving in.
