argonne drive right at the alameda, all lanes are closed with a water main break being repaired. that's going to be repaired until next week, so watch for those closures. let's see what else is going on. 48 on the north side right around the harrisburg expressway. outer loop west side at 50 miles per hour. still looking good on 795 towards the beltway. no problems on report on i-70. everything moving well on the rest of the major roadways. 95 at 49 miles per hour coming out of the northeast. 10 minutes is the drive time on southbound 95 from the beltway southwest down to 32. about an eight-minute ride to travel from the inner loop over to the 83. 295 is in great shape at 32, north and southbound. switch over to a live view of traffic at old court, and the west side is running smoothly so far. that's the latest on traffic pulse 11. mindy and stan, back to you. >> sarah, thank you very much. our big story, it was a violent weekend in baltimore city and the surrounding area. with several shootings and a stabbing. >> 11 news reporter kim dacey is live with the details.

good morning, kim. >> good morning, mindy. the weekend violence left five people dead and several others injured. police say an unidentified man was shot and killed in the 3000 block of presbr i street around midnight sunday. police believe that victim was involved in some kind of argument at that location before the shooting. shorting before 2:00 send morning, officers responded to warwick avenue, where they fond a 28-year-old shot in the arm and a 33-year-old shot several times. we're told that 33-year-old later died. three additional deadly shootings happened on saturday on grantley road, shamrock avenue, and in baltimore county saturday night, there was a stabbing at the fairgrounds in timonium with two victims. a witness called police apprehending a suspect with a bloody shirt on his cell phone. he spoke to 11 news about what happened during oktoberfest. >> it's kind of crazy. i mean, there was kids around. so we went across the building, and somebody's on the floor bleeding, another guy is being

held down, and, you know, we fond out somebody got stabbed. >> police say the two victims were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. meanwhile, baltimore city police say that they are deploying additional units to address this outbreak of violence. kim dacey, wbal-tv 11 news. >> homicide detectives are investigating a suspicious death in west baltimore. that's where police found a body shortly before 6:00 saturday evening inside a vacant row home. this morning it's unclear how the victim died. police have identified the body found in an elevator shaft thursday as 43-year-old tracey baird. police say it's believed she was walking through the vacant building with two others at the time of the fall. the death has been ruled accidental. >> a georgia man is behind bars here in maryland this morning. police say 30-year-old deivi polanco is charged with

kidnapping his children from his estranged wife. within an hour after the mother reported the incident, polanco was taken into custody. in addition to kidnapping, polanco was also charged with two couldn't of child abduction, false imprisonment and other charges. he's being held on $750,000 bond. the trifle a man accused of murdering his wife will resume later today in baltimore county. tracy tetso disappeared in march of 2005 while heading to a concert. those close to tracy say she told her husband, dennis torque move out of their home and the marriage was over. tracy never showed up at that concert, and her cars car was later found some 11 days later. to this day, her body has never been found. the prosecution it says does not need a body to prove its case. >> in this morning's commitment 2010 report, 22 days until the midterm elections, and recent polls show republicans have enthusiasm behind them. now president barack obama is heading out on the stump trying

always quiet in the weather department this morning. it's going to be a warm day. that's the big story. temperatures into the 80's this afternoon. if you don't like the autumn weather, you're going to like at least today, because later on things are going to change. but for today, it will feel like summer again. 59 at the airport. 61 in westminster. it's 56 degrees and rising sun, so significantly warmer than the last couple of mornings. here's the weather setup. we have a warm front across central pennsylvania. there's going to be little waves of energy traveling along that front as we head into this afternoon. some of those may come close enough to us in this heat and slightly increased humidity to trigger a shower or thunderstorm later on this afternoon. but i only put a 30% chance on it. most of the precip right now is way off to our north across new york state and the southern part of canada, and some big thunderstorms across the plains states right now. so event we'll this whole system will catch up to us and bring us a better chance for rain tonight and on tuesday. but for now, just some scattered clouds. it's going to mack a beautiful sunrise here in just a few minutes. the forecast for today, a

mixture of sunshine and clouds, 30% chance for a thunderstorm late this afternoon. unseasonably warm with high temperatures between 80 and 85. the average high is 69. overnight tonight, partly cloudy skies, better chance for a shower, maybe a thunderstorm, temperatures will drop back into the upper 50's. and then during the day tomorrow, this whole system will sweep off the coast and we'll see a chance for a few lingering showers, but winds will turn north, so we'll see the high temperatures drop into the low to mid 70's on tuesday. we just keep dropping from there. down to 69 on wednesday. we'll be in the low to mid 60's on friday. a chance for a few showers late thursday and friday. the overnight low temperatures going into the weekend are going to drop into the upper 30's to around 40 on saturday. i wouldn't be surprised if we had our first frost of the season this weekend. maybe saturday morning. it will jump back into the low 70's on sunday. overall, wind up with a decent upcoming weekend. that's a look at the seven-day forecast. let's see what's happening on the roads at 6:15. here's sarah.

yesterday for what some are calling one of the most brutal hate crimes. the suspects are accused of anti-gay gang attacks on three men in the bronx. >> the eight young suspects were arraigned yesterday sunday, a day after their arrest for the vicious attack. police say the crimes happened at this abandoned apartment in the bronx last weekend. investigators believe a gang known as the latin king goonees lashed out after learning that a 17-year-old recruit was gay. >> he was thrown into a wall, made to strip naked, hit in the head with a beer can, cut with a box cutter, and sodomized with a wooden handle of a plunger. >> the eight suspects then allegedly attacked and tortured another teen and a 30-year-old man over several hours. >> the heartless men who committed these crimes should know that their fellow new yorkers will not tolerate their vicious acts or the hatred that fuels them. >> the shock of the crime caused outrage among city and state leaders. >> you don't attack somebody

through the trial period, and you can repeat the process with another carrier. well, a baltimore company may soon be selling big chunks of its business to an overseas partner. jane king has more in this morning's bloomberg business report. >> good morning. today there's a big spotlight on baltimore's constellation energy group. constellation jeopardizing its relationship with a french you're at this time by pulling out of negotiations on a $7.5 billion loan guarantee to build a nuclear reactor in maryland. constellation says the cost of the federal loan guarantee is simply too high and risky. a head researcher tells us this may force the french company, e.d.f., to buy as much as $2 billion of constellation's nonnuclear plants. as for trading, stocks climbed higher. back on friday, the dow closed above 11,000 for the first time since the may flash crash. and the bloomberg maryland index also seeing gains. in the meantime, the economy taking a toll on man's best friend.
