george? >> one of the firefighter unions today says the deadly fire could have been prevented if the closest fire station to the scene was operating. truck company 23 could not respond because it is part of the rotating closures of fire stations to save money. firefighters from surrounding companies had to respond to the home on ducks 1900 block of griffins avenue around midnight. four people got out ok. firefighters found the body of a fifth person on the second floor. it was a 59-year-old. the city battalion chief says the rotating closures would not -- were not a factor in his death. >> our response last night, the first arriving company, was just under four minutes, in which the national fire protection asian association has set a standard, -- fire protection association has set the standard. we were less than half of that

standard. >> here is an e-mail that the union sent us today. "stop playing firehouse roulette. how many more people have to die before enough is enough? fully fund the baltimore city fire department report that is from the union local 734. no word on a cause. investigators say they believe there were no working smoke detectors in the home. we're live in southwest baltimore. wbal-tv 11 news. >> thank you. it was of mylonite in baltimore city. police say three people were shot since 6:00 last evening. the first was in the 3300 block in canton. a woman was shot in the leg during a domestic dispute. a father has been charged with the death of his infant daughter. police say timothy lewis called police to report his 6-month-old daughter stopped breathing. neighbors were shocked, but

weather. when the front comes through, more high pressure behind it. essentially dry. it will not change the weather that much. tomorrow, ahead of the front, we will warm up a little more than today. behind the front, we will drop back to what today's readings were. the winds die back tonight. colorado mumbai debris. clear skies. -- calm tonight. clear skies. we do not see any rain along the front. high pressure ahead and behind. continued fair weather for while. sonny tomorrow. not as breezy. when that -- winds at 10 to 15. four football, up in the massachusetts area, a foxboro, 59 to 63 during the game for
