killed this month. we have more on that story, but first baltimore city police are investigating three shootings that happened since last night. the most recent happened just after 3:00 p.m. in west baltimore. and a shot in the head of west fayette street. no possible modem -- motive. a janitor spotted what appeared to been [inaudible] it was not before the damage was already done. baltimore county police are investigating and vandals and extensive damage including using graffiti in the gym and a locker room. it has been cleaned up. right now, no word on the suspects involved. early this morning, many residents had been rescued

after this fire extended through the upper floors and the roof as well as an attached apartment building. two people and one firefighter suffered minor injuries. one person still accounted for this evening. it is estimated that 24 families were displaced from the fire. >> we experienced some of the coaster of the season overnight last night. 35 degrees. right now, it has warmed up significantly, but it will be partly cloudy tonight with cloud approaching from the system. this is to our north and west. it will take a long time to get here. more cause tomorrow for sure. 65 at the airport now. lower 60's on the eastern shore

and 62 on the state line. i will break down your seven-day coming up. >> x-employees are suing the walt disney co. saying they were blindsided when disney decided to close the inner harbor sports bar in june. the workers plan to file a class-action lawsuit claiming the disney violated federal law by not giving them enough notice about their plans to close the alleged fraud. the proper amount of time was given. they say time was not given to the employees and there was not economic necessity for disney to close the establishment without notice. a 50-year-old man was arrested this morning after being caught vandalizing these campaign signs. they've found hundreds of signs in the back of this man's truck.

this is not the first time campaign signs have been vandalized. there are reports of the removing the smaller signs. these are having to deal with approving a slots location. this is the first time that early voting has been allowed in a general election. you can visit any polling place in your jurisdiction from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. until october 28th. the polls will not reopen tomorrow. gov. martin o'malley and bob ehrlich are urging candidates to take advantage of early voting. republican bob ehrlich visited harford county to encourage voters to get out ahead of the november 2nd election. later tonight, governor o'malley is expected to attend a rally in baltimore county. live coverage for both events

tied at 11:00 p.m. and the latest sign the report that shows bob ehrlich has out raised governor o'malley. the 2010 campaign season is heading into its final week. they had the biggest guns in the trenches. president obama was winding down a four-day campaign swing with a stop in minneapolis. with control of congress up for grabs, plenty of work and not much time left. brian more reports with more from washington. >> in florida, sarah palin's from your fellow republicans for a big win on election day. >> the momentum is with us. now was not the time to let up. >> two-party favorite marco rubio is expecting plenty of republicans to join in with the changing washington park seed change of power. >> i believe november 2nd will be an extraordinary day in florida and across america.

>> members of the baltimore city police department are remembering one of their on. detective stevenson was killed last weekend. >> it is another sad day for the men and women in blue for baltimore city. right now inside this funeral home on the road, friends and family of detective brian stevenson have gathered for his viewing. it was one week ago police say

the 80-year veteran of the force was murdered during a dispute over parking space with a group of people. the off-duty detective was killed when someone in the curve for a chunk of concrete at him hitting him in the temple. those who knew him say he was not the confrontational type. >> most of the time, you would not even know he was in the room. he was not a loud mouth or combative or argumentative. this really caught me off-guard. >> police have charged the 25- year-old man with murder. he is the one year through the piece of concrete. police have said more people could face charges. at the time stevenson is out celebrating what would have been his 38th birthday the next day. viewing will end at 8:00 p.m. and there is another one tomorrow. the funeral is monday. live in baltimore county, wbal- tv 11 news. >> it is being called the

largest legacy confirmation in u.s. history. the whistle blowing website, wikileaks, has posted details of civilian deaths including those on known or even not recorded. there have been differing accounts of how many lives were lost during fighting. the founder is defending the release of the documents today at a press conference in london. >> this is the truth. the attacks on the truth began long before the war starts and continues long after the war ends. >> the pentagon has denounced the link -- leak. a report out of colorado as saying a man undergoing a kidney transplant was infected with hiv after getting a blood transfusion by a donor who lied

about his status. this is the first known case of something like this happening in at least eight years. in june 2008, the man donated the blood. the cdc said he did not report any hiv risk factors. his blood tested positive for the disease. the current testing cannot detect hiv early in the first 10 days. the risk of this happening is one in 1.5 million. pete has the sports. big news with navy football today. >> for a long time, this would always be a source of embarrassment. now is fine. we will check out the midshipman's trade had in sports. i>> a great day to do anything outside. we will warmup, but we are tracking system to our north and west. i will let you know how that affects your 7-forecast ahead.

winds are still light i of the south. tomorrow, we will remain mild from the mountains of western maryland with a high of 69 degrees, to about 73-74 around baltimore. we will see variably to mostly cloudy skies during the day. the high pressure will be moving offshore. the lower eastern shore is right around 70 degrees. the day forecast as we head into tomorrow, a small craft advisory warning. it will be gusting up to 29. the reason for the mild air is the reason that the high pressure ridge just to our south. with that, rotation, southwesterly flow, and more from the deep south. this system will emerge as a warm front in various slight chance of showers and may be an isolated thunderstorms and a

public safety is a governor's most important job. that's why governor martin o'malley has instituted new dna and fingerprinting technology that's reducing violent crime... new, stronger domestic violence and abuse legislation... and o'malley passed new laws to better track and convict sexual predators, with even longer prison sentences. as a father of four, i know there's always more that we must do to protect our children and make maryland an even safer place to raise our families. women are charged 40% more for the same health insurance as men. domestic violence is treated as a pre-existing condition in eight states. women are abused by their husbands and then by their insurance companies. and last year they tried to end our coverage for mammograms and other preventive services.
