election? we have provided a wealth of information on our website, wbaltv.com, from canada profiles to fat checks, and of voter skied at the polls. just click on politics at the top of the home page. baltimore city police are searching for a gunman who shot and killed a west baltimore man. the 25-year-old man was shot in the head around 3:00 this afternoon. he died later at the hospital and police are still investigating to shootings from last night. so far, no suspects of our possible motives have arisen in any of these cases. members of the baltimore city police department gathered to say farewell to one of its own. detective brian stephenson was killed a week ago today while out celebrating what would have been his 38th birthday. police a stevenson and a group of people got into a fight over a parking space. he was hit in the head with a piece of concrete. he died a short time later at

shock trauma. he is one of three deaths within the department in just the last month. a high school staff member has been charged with attempting to sell a gun on the school campus in baltimore. police say the 33-year-old was arrested when he tried to sell the gun to a school police officer. the school had notified baltimore police about the proposed gun deal and the transaction was arranged on a day when students were not in school. he is due to appear in court on november 60. it is on cummingtonite foregone of high-school, despite an overnight break in. -- it is all coming tonight fort dundalk high school. baltimore county police are investigating. bengals did extensive damage, including graffiti. there is no word on the suspects involved. nearly two dozen families are without a home and one person is

dead after flames ripping through an apartment building. people were rescued from their balcony's after fire blocked stairwells. it happened about 4:30 a.m. on curtis drive. our extended through the upper floors and the route as well as an attached apartment building. two people and one firefighter suffered minor injuries. because of the fire is still under investigation. the walt disney co. is being sued. employees say they were blindsided back in june. the workers plan to file a class-action lawsuit on monday. they claim is the violated federal law by not giving enough notice about its plans to close the restaurant. officials at the proper amount of time and pay was not given to employees and there was no economic necessity for disney to close the establishment without notice. coming up, trouble in the gulf yet again. a spot believed to be more oil. we will tell you where, coming

we're heading in the wrong direction. we need strong leadership. say no to things we can't afford. fix our health care plan. and refuse to raise taxes. martin o'malley can't do it. i will. >> washington, d.c police have arrested three people in connection with the drug lab down in a georgetown university freshman dorm. about four hundred students were evacuated this morning after a report of a strange odor inside one of the rooms. police and that of all-out war chemicals could create a hallucinogenic drug. police say two of the suspects are students and a third is a visitor. >> it is a freshman dorm building, so definitely not something you'd expect to find there. >> it comes at a bad time with midterm exams falling around this time.

students were inconvenienced as represented dick -- prevented them from studying. >> a gunman opened fire in a crowded restaurant in manhattan. police say the victim was shot in the head and chest. workers told new york post that the shooter exchanged heated words with a victim before opening fire. no arrests have been made. the coast guard is investigating possible oil floating near the louisiana coast. the coast guard says a pack of discolored water near new orleans is believed to be an algae bloom. they are testing it now, but another spot 10 miles away could be weathered oil. the federal government maintains much of the oil from the bp spill is now gone, but independent researchers say they are finding oil below the surface in significant amounts. still to come, the mayor hits the streets to set an example for the city. and snow already? we will take what one area is

to go up to new york, there were 44 degrees last month. one of the colder regions nationwide out at the airport last night. we saw plenty of sun today and hit a high of 70 degrees this afternoon. a gorgeous fall day. 44 downtown and 71 at the inner harbor. the normal high and low is 61 and 44 respectively. overnight tonight with all the clouds that insulated us overnight, basically 50 in the outlying areas and 55 downtown with just a gradual increase in clouds. it is mostly cloudy out there right now. the forecast breaks down pretty nicely, all the way from the mountains to the shore. here in the heart of central maryland, great for the ravens taking on the buffalo bills tomorrow at 1:00 at m&t bank stadium. we will seek invariably cloudy
