that area. let's look at a live picture of old court. outer loop moving very well this morning. a live view of traffic on the beltway. moving well down west towards west nursery road. that's the latest on traffic pulse 11. back to you mindy and stan. >> our big story this morning, a tragedy as fire claims the lives of two people. >> it all started around 9:30 a.m. yesterday. 11 news jennifer franciotti live with that story. good morning. >> this is an area off the beltway. taking a look at what's left behind me. you see a bunch of rubble and cars surrounding the damage. it happened about 9:30 a.m. yesterday morning. it took an hour to get the fire under control. the walls collapsed and roof caved in and 60 firefighters were called to the scene. then firefighters were told

there could still be two people inside that were sleeping according to friends and family members 45-year-old macho acavedo and 17-year-old johnny ramos worked 16-to 18-hour shifts and often slept in the body shop overnight. >> we loved both of them. things happen in life. so we got to deal with it. >> and the building is a complete loss. right now we're told family members are working with family are working with investigators to identify the bodies. the cause of the fire is still unknown. >> baltimore county police have made an arrest in a triple shooting that left one teenager dead. sterling matthews of baltimore city is accused of killing 16-year-old burks. matthews is being held without detail in the detention center. two others were treated for non-life threatening injuries.

>> a tragic downfall for a local sports star. dave mega et has been sentenced to 30 years in prison on rape and burglary charges. he is found guilty of rapeing a college student. his son is currently a running back at the university of maryland. and in allegheny county, a former student will serve five years in prison for killing one man and wounding another after the 31-year-old pleaded guilty to manslaughter and assault. he used a shotgun to defend himself after two men came to his home trying to fight him after one of the man's girlfriend said the man hit her during a party. >> and president obama took time to speak with active duty service members stationed in the area during his 10-day tour

former baptist minister appeared in court in camouflage. love had been on the run aft the murder of randy stone but not before he presided over stone's funeral and delivered eulogy. he was arrested while working as a truck driver. >> what started as a peacefull march ended in a riot in london as students protested a 300% zump their tuition. they started a button fire. eight people amid protesters were taken to hospitals with miner injuries. the u.k. has been coming up in prices since the global downturn. >> in this morning's "consumer alert," there's good news on the housing market, the number of forclosures fell by the sharpest margin this year last month realtytrac i think says

>> it's going to be another beautiful day. a little chilly out there this morning. upper 30's and lower 40's right now. but we expect sunshine this afternoon and we expect to take it up to 65 today. >> our big story this morning, a fire at an anne arundel county warehouse claims the lives of two people working inside. >> jennifer franciotti with more details. >> good morning. it took firefighters almost an hour to get this fire under control, and it was during cleanup they discovered two employees were missing. family members gather in support after an autobody shop burns down in glen burnie. firefighters discovered the bodies of two inside. >> that's the thing. we are all in pain, because we loved both of them. things happen in life so we got to deal with it. >> firefighters arrived at 9:30 a.m. they found flames shooting

through the roof, the walls collapsed and the roof caved in, and it took 60 firefighters to put out the fire. and then they were told there could still be two people inside. >> we were told there were probably two people in there sleeping. >> according to friends and family members, 45-year-old macho acavedo and 17-year-old johnny remain mopes worked 16-18-hour shifts and often slept there. nelson me dina is the younger employee's brother-in-law. >> it's a very sad thing. it's very hard, but i'm waiting here to find out. >> the two men are described as hard working friendly people who loved working on cars. >> in the light of day, you can see the utter devastation here. family members are working with firefighters to try to identify the victims, and right now the cause of this fire remains under investigation.

reporting live, jennifer franciotti, wbal-tv 11 news. >> thank you, jen, a new trial date has been set for a man accused of killing a cab driver. the first trial of 23-year-old robert lee murphy ended in a mistrial. he is accused of first-degree murder and robbery in the slaying of a cab demriver 2009. they were expected to go back to trial but it was postponed until february 26. murphy remains held without bail. >> an 1 isth-hour robo call could be expensive for those accused of placing them. the attorney general has found the multi million dollar civil suit against them charging them with violating the protection act. >> i'm calling to let everyone know that governor o'malley and president obama have been successful. >> the attorney's general's office says democrats received

one of those election night robo calls. bob ehrlich's campaign took responsibility and now he is being asked to pay. >> we do not to threat type of behavior in maryland. >> they were slapped an employee of henson's universal election company with a nine-figure fine. they violated the telephone consumer protection act by failing to identify who was behind the calls which were intended to discourage governor martin o'malley's supporters. >> we're ok. we're alive. everything is fine. the only thing left is to watch it on tv tonight. >> i received a call in my home. >> larry gibson teaches election law. he says he's never seen the
