county executive. he was led out of his house by federal authorities. you will see a picture here, his wife leslie. we are told that the two charges are involved. one is witness tampering and the other is destruction of evidence. the affidavit just released to delete -- detailing the case, it includes allegations that johnson received $100,000 from a developer in 2007 in return for his help as kenneth executive in getting federal funding for that developer's project. -- his help in getting executive -- his help as county executive in getting federal funding for that developer's project. a payment to $15,000 to johnson was interrupted.

there was a conversation that agents say that jack johnson had with his wife leslie in which he instructed her -- and personal, asking where is the check? where is the check? then he instructed her to take the cash or there was cash down in the basement. i am just reading through this. johnson replied, "tear up the check." leslie johnson then replied, " fbi, jack. do you want me to flush it down the toilet?" the affidavit concludes that the jack johnson then told leslie johnson to put the cash in her underwear. leslie johnson replied, "i have it in my barack." the fbi agents -- i haven't -- ra."ave it in my bar

the fbi agents then entered the premises. jack johnson served two terms as prince county executive. we have much more in this haseloping case that i literally exploded in the past few minutes. >> a lot of things to try to digest the there. that is a nice job in trying to bring it all together. a 49-year-old woman who was supposed to be tutoring special education students is accused of bilking the school system of several thousand dollars. she now faces a two-count indictment. she billed the school system for to bring that she never provided. charges carry a maximum penalty of 25 years in prison.

>> it is paid for more than 10,000 people who were for the baltimore county school system. but there is a problem that employees cannot overlook. there many showed up -- their money never showed up in their bank accounts. >> there are still a lot of questions right now about what happened today. we're starting to hear from schoolteachers this morning from their paychecks. they were not alone. the district says there was a technical error and the money should be in the bank by now. the county school system peril problem came to light this morning. thousands of employees started checking their bank accounts only to find out their checks had not been posted. here's what happened. there was apparently a computer glitch in a payroll file sent from the assistant to the bank that helps process employee accounts. >> their computers did not read

the file. there was a computer glitch somewhere in the system. on thursday, it was a banking holiday. >> the bank has been notified of the problem and has already started to release funds. most of those affected by the payroll problems are baltimore county schoolteachers. >> so the calls started coming in and the e-mails started coming in. they sent this an e-mail early saying that they were working on it. >> a customer may be dealing with a bank in utah or elsewhere out of state. they may not receive the information and post the money into the account until after today. that main issue for some folks. >> we are asking people to be patient and we are working with the employees in case they have overdraft fees so that no one is penalized for this mistake. >> there is a bigger issue of

will be, again with the nearly calm wind. the high pressure slowly moving out to sea, but it is sticking around long enough for the weekend. it probably will not impact our region until monday. look for more the same tomorrow. it will be cool in the morning, mild in the afternoon, clear skies, and lots of sunshine. then we will start to see this weather system approach from the west on sunday. there may be showers reaching far western maryland on sunday afternoon. but rain chances will likely hold on until next week. there will be a better chance of some rain on wednesday and tuesday of next to it. north to northeast winds. on the bay, wis a ride around the fort. sunny and a beautiful 63 degrees and geared counted tomorrow and across the western maryland mountains.

called for help, claiming that kojak was throwing objects at her bedroom window. in their investigation, detectives learned that the woman's daughter sent messages to cunningham, her boyfriend, to come to the apartment quickly. cunningham grabbed the rifle and shot the victim. he denied any involvement he first told police he did not go outside. after detectives showed him tax records, he said he walked outside to walk the dog. he saw police standing near the body. the neighbor we talked to said that problems here include fights. >> there was blood on the pavement the next day. >> she has had enough. >> i am already to go. -- i am already ready to go. >> cunningham is being held at

the baltimore county detention center. his bail has been denied. >> prince george's county executive jack johnson and his wife leslie are both under arrest and face federal charges of witnesses and evidence tampering. they were arrested at their home this morning. the investigation centers around payments of over $100,000 from a developer to johnson. more of the stories coming up tonight. baltimore officials are looking for a new site for indoor sports and concert arena. the plan to tear down the aging arena and build a new one at that site. but that project stalled during the recession. they're looking at sites near the convention center. and there were some serious paid

living in the desert, bone dry across the region right now. humidity is 20% at dwi marshall. you get these huge temperature swings. it was 28 degrees this morning and 66 degrees in the afternoon. we were way below normal on below and way above the high temperature on the far side of the swing. you get the picture. 78 degrees, that goes back to 1979 for the record high current check out the lows for the 12th of november, 18 degrees back in 1957. clear skies from eastern massachusetts to new york, baltimore, all the way down to virginia and the carolinas, westbound to cleveland. it is just crystal clear out there. temperatures will fall fast through the early evening. we fell 5 degrees in the last hour.
