95 moving without delay. on the north side, 11 minutes from 895 over toward 83. eight minutes on the inner loop from 795 towards the j.f.x. no delays southbound at white marsh. this is york road. we are seeing some fog there in parkton. that is the latest on traffic pulse 11. >> it was a relatively warm weekend. there was an unfortunate spike in violence. >> kim dacey is live with more on that. good morning. >> good morning. two people are dead and five others because of this violence. it all happened within 48 hours. a rash of violence broke out early saturday morning in the 1900 block of west baltimore street. one person was shot in the head just before 2:00. he was rushed to the hospital where he later died. just a short time later, a 41-

year-old man walked into a hospital for treatment. he told police he was shot in the 1800 block of east lafayette street. and an 18-year-old showed up at a hospital early saturday afternoon, suffering from a gunshot wound to the hip. another man was shot saturday afternoon in the 1400 block of argyle avenue 19-year-old david hopkins was stabbed in the back around 10:00 saturday night in the 400 block of southeast avenue, a few blocks east of patterson park. he later died. and a 16-year-old boy was shot near st. paul and lexington streets. according to police, the victim and a friend had a confrontation with a passing car. somebody inside that car shot the boy in the stomach. he is listed in serious but stable condition. late sunday afternoon, police were called to the 1700 block of north ellamont street. a man was shot in the leg and possibly the arm. he was taken to a nearby hospital. so far, police have no possible motives and have not made any arrests. if you have any information on

any of these incidents, contact city police. reporting live at police headquarters, kim dacey, wbal-tv 11 news. >> thank you. police are looking for a group of suspects on the campus of loyola university. three people were walking and two men with knives approached them and punched one of the victims. anyone with information is asked to call baltimore city police. police are looking for whoever started taking potshots at passing cars with a pellet gun. at least three vehicles were shot near the loch raven reservoir. one person was hit in the eye. police searched the area but were not able to find a suspect. >> three suspects are accused of stabbing at a rental mills mall.

there was a fight in the food court. . and 18-year-old victim was stabbed in the back. keyo marlo allen and deandre jamar simms and another juvenile are all charged with assault and disorderly conduct. friends of the two victims that died in the body shop fire last week our team together to give their friend a proper burial. the two were killed will the auto body warehouse they were sleeping in went up in flames last wednesday. now the families are pulling their resources to honor his mother's request that his body be buried in honduras. >> he does not have any family here. at least we could take it there and they could bury him there and they can take flowers to him. >> investigators have not determined what caused the warehouse to catch fire

perplexed is back to work for lawmakers. congress returns to capitol hill. kate amara has the story from capitol hill. >> lawmakers return to a legislative session dominated by decisions about taxes and spending. it's a lame-duck session with a long to-do less. lawmakers are back on the hill this week to address lingering legislative questions -- a budget to keep the government running, a repal of "don't ask, don't tell," an extension of unemployment benefits, and the fate of the bush-era tax cuts. >> if they don't act on taxes, everybody's taxes go up on january 1, and there are going to be a lot of angry people. >> the administration wants the bush tax cuts to expire for the wealthy. republicans want them extended across the board. >> i think extending all of the current tax rates and making them permanent will reduce the uncertainty in america and help small businesses begin to create jobs again. >> and although democrats return as the party in power, analysts say the gop may be
