morning. maybe some week tornadoes. you will see some video in just a few minutes. right now, things are quiet. you do not have to worry about that kind of weather on your way to work or school this morning. there are a few sprinkles that could come by through the next hour. a slight chance for rain early this morning. it will be quiet for the rest of the day. a mixture of sunshine and clouds. the wind it may gust over 30 miles per hour, but it should be dry with a high temperature at 62 degrees. we will check the seven-day forecast coming up in just a few minutes. for now we check in with sarah. >> it is a mess out there. we have downed trees. route 7 at old mountain road, we have a downed tree blocking the road. trouble in harford county, watch for those. some debris blocking some lanes.

we have a slowdown on the north side, 28 miles per hour. accident coming in. catonsville, rolling road at route 40, all lanes closed with a downed tree. leaves are also going to be an issue. leaves fell with the storm. 11 minutes on the ad lib northeast side. 12 minutes on the west side. -- 11 minutes on the outer loop north east side. this is the key bridge. so far running smoothly at this hour. be careful on all of the roads. this is the harrisburg expressway just north of the beltway. no delays to report there. thats the latest on traffic pulse 11. >> thank you. we will begin with that breaking news. a possible tornado touched down in the northeastern part of town, downing trees and damaging

some homes. >> near mclean boulevard, jennifer franciotti is there on the phone with us now. tell us what you say. >> the folks at the national weather service will have a field day with this. we are a few blocks to the west of that location at northern parkway and mclean. there were fires around 2:00 a.m. this morning. the wind came through this period a below three roofs off of town homes. three people had to be transported to johns hopkins, including one child with a possible broken arm. now the debris field is far and wide. it looks like these homes have been used in virtual bulletin boards for the debris. aluminum siding has been impelled into homes. we will probably see a lot of the roofs a few blocks away that

have blown off. a couple of cars are semester is kind of scary-looking in the dark. one firefighter said thank goodness it happened overnight. if it happened during dinner time, people would be dead. firefighters right now -- they are working in the dark. 2700 b.g.e. customers are affected. safety is of paramount concern. they are making sure citizens are ok. this is not an area where you want to visit if you don't have to be here. the mount pleasant ice rink should be opening around 5:30 this morning as a shelter. all agencies are working together and trying to make sure residents are as safe as possible. >> again, give us a general idea of where we're talking about.

" i talked to a couple came out to look at the debris. winds elements car is smashed. he said it was about 2:00 a.m. this morning and he heard a loud sound. he looked out the window. his girlfriend said to look at his car. he could not believe it.

night. it went through right in the center of parkville. there have been no injuries. there was a call to do a rescue but it was unfounded. no injuries or fatalities associated with this. the danger of this morning would be the downed power lines all throughout the community. putty avenue, are a downed power lines everywhere. you cannot see out here. we have a light now. a tree is completely up routed behind me. some children's toys were displaced. a couple of cars were smashed by trees. and there are two families that work displays. this is very much a developing story. the staging area is on pawlenty avenue. they are collaborating with

without power and is in the middle of the debris field. >> i heard something against the window, a lot of wind. stuff was everywhere. debris was everywhere on the ground. >> are you amazed? >> yes. i have never seen anything like this before. >> the sec you are going to work. >> they just knocked on our door saying we have to evacuate our apartment and go to the plaza up the street. >> do you understand why? >> i am not sure. >> it is for your safety. nobody was hurt and your house. >> no. >> you are walking around with a flashlight. i'm going to hold up this aluminum siding. this is one piece of thousands.

this is from at least three homes a couple of houses away. the roofs blew off those homes. three people had to be transported to area hospitals, including one child with a broken arm. surveying the damage, we are seeing pieces of debris through second floor sightings. plywood, tops of trees, drywall, entire sections of roofs. there is broken glass and nails all over the place. firefighters have been going door to door. there are about 75 firefighters in this area alone. fire department says a bunch of the city agencies have gathered in a command center not far from here. their primary focus is resident safety. no other injuries have been reported. the mayor will be joining the

command center in just a little while. we will bring you more information as it becomes available. this area is being evacuated. we send it to santer shot in parkville. i know the temperature -- we send it to sandra shaw. we know the temperature has dropped 10 degrees. >> what is happening is the showers and a risk of severe weather is gone. we will see the wind picked up today. it will be blustery. last night it was either a straight line wind or it was a to carnatic touchdown. there is a staging area right here that putty avenue where they're trying to assess the damage. there are massive power outages. we have massive damage. this is a truth that was completely up rooted in somebody's yard last night -- this is a tradee.

the wind cut right through park felt. you can see the children's toys over the yard. we have live wires, downed power lines. there is one behind me. there are power crews behind me. they have set up a staging area so they can get b.g.e. court made it and find out the most vulnerable areas. the site with the tree is common for this area of parkville. here are some photos that we took earlier. there are a lot of downed trees. we have a lot of damage as far as ahoms go. two families were displaced over in towson. towson police are handling that. no reports of injuries here in the parkville.
