those happen in an area off of pine wood or the roof blew off some houses. what injury was to a child for it is believed he suffered a possible broken arm. two adults were transported to johns hopkins hospital. they have opened a shelter that should be open as of now at the mount pleasant ice rink for anyone who needs a place to stay. this is an all-out effort in the city. agencies are coming together to help. they're trying to get the power back on. this will be an event that will last all day today if not into to mark and the days to come. jennifer franciotti reporting live. let's send it over to sandra shaw in park felt the cracked the good news is there have been no injuries reported. take a look. the common theme are these uprooted trees. this tree uprooted on the lawn

the center of the big storm is now up in canada. we're getting a big push of what will be mild air for a pleased this afternoon. the pressure great behind the storm is pretty strong. the wind will be gusting up close to 40 or 50 miles per hour in the mountains. a wind advisory has been issued for all the counties painted in blue. this is not because thunderstorms will be coming through. this is because of the pressure gradient. wind gusts 40 miles per hour could not over some trees this afternoon because the ground is saturated. 55 at the airport and 54 degrees in westminster. today, a mixture of sunshine and clouds. it will be windy and mild with a high temperature in the low 60's. partly cloudy skies tonight. the temperature will drop back into the 40's. as we head through the rest of the week, it will get chilly.

we have live team coverage this morning of all the storm damage. we begin with jennifer franciotti in northeast baltimore. >> we're in the dutch village area where we have seen some building property managers come by to try to assess the damage. they said as the sun comes up, we will be able to see some spectacular damage. there is one building where the entire roof has come off. it flew over these townhomes and into another section of the dutch village. we'll try to get a look at this damage later on. the residents are starting to wake up. when this happened overnight around 2:00 a.m., it took the roof off of three homes in the pine wood core area. three people were sent to the hospital, including a child who may have suffered a broken arm. the debris field is wide.

>> there is significant amount of debris. there are roof shingles and lumber, debris, downed power lines, and trees, which makes it unsafe for people to walk in these conditions. we want to get them into a safe environment where we can provide sustenance and other basic essentials for them until we get a handle on what is going on. >> cars were damaged, homes were impelaled. there are about 4000 power outages. a shelter has been set up at the ice rink. all kinds of agencies are trying to figure out what needs to be done to get the clean up momentum going. this is quite a mess here. reporting live, jennifer franciotti. we send it over to santer shot in parkville -- sandra shaw.

things are settling down. the pressure gradient is pretty tight. i think the wind will gust 30 or 40 miles per hour because of the system. the ground is saturated. it could be enough to knock over some trees this afternoon. keep that in mind. there is a high wind advisory for most of the counties painted in blue until 4:00 p.m. this afternoon. it could be able roth even later today even if the sun is out -- it could be a little rough today even if the sun is out. a mix of sun and clouds. it will be windy and mild with high temperatures in the low 70's. the sunrise, we just had that and looking pretty good out there temperatures drop back into the low 40's. it will turn chilly by the end of the week.

the wind blew me cleaned back in the room. it was azing. it was like a baby tsunami. >> thank you for talking with us this morning. there is a huge structure over here. it looks like the roof has come off that structure, blown across the street over the dutch village townhomes. back around, there is some of the debris field and some of the plywood that is stock into some of these homes, even as far as the second four and near the roof area. we know of three areas -- we know of three injuries. lots of folks walking up and looking get some of this damage. about 4000 power outages reported in baltimore city. the mayor will be out here in just a few hours taking a look at the damage. quite a lot to see after the potential tornado touched down.
