off to the side. a bit slow in that area. beltway on the east side is running smoothly at this hour. that is the latest on traffic pulse 11. back to you. >> thank you. hundreds of baltimore residents are waking up today without a home. >> jennifer franciotti is live with more on how they are coping. good morning. >> many of them spend the night here at this home. it has become a makeshift shelter for them after the storm ripped through the area. the dutch village community is under police protection. they have blocked off the entrances for safety reasons. wind gusts of up to 80 miles per hour swept through and damaged more than 100 homes and caused a few non life-threatening injuries. roofs were ripped off.

trees were felled. power lines were left scattered on the ground. it was a miracle that nobody was killed. cleanup began almost immediately. b.g.e. worked to get the power back on. residents were evacuated out of damaged apartment complexes. the hope was to get some people back in their homes by today. >> our intentions are to get this site ready in the morning so people can return to their homes. we're in the process of boarding up some houses, continuous assessments. hopefully by sunrise, all the individuals who have been evaluated will be able to return in stages. >> if our allies are any indication, they might be in for some good news. passing the community, we did see some work lights. we also saw some street lights

the animals were all back to the nature center and are said to be doing just fine. authorities have busted a cross- country cocaine ring. using a private jet, the rain began running drugs back in may . 14 people including a local deejay and heads of the entertainment companies are those facing money trafficking charges of. >> police nature help to locate the thief or thieves responsible for stealing credit cards. police say the cards were stolen from parked vehicles throughout the county over the past few months. general motors goes public traded on the new york stock exchange for the first time in nearly 18 months.

the suspect was allegedly involved in a robbery. he was surrounded by police on the interstate but man is to drive away, exceeding speeds of 90 miles per hour per he ran into the back of a truck. he did survive. the car was so crunched up, he had to pull himself out of the window just to get out of the vehicle. >> the rest of a man in texas has a father asking questions. how it was done. authorities say the man let them on a seven-mile chase along interstate 30. the video shows him stopping. a deputy take a flying leap, knocking the suspect off his motorcycle. another officer joins end. his father claims it was excessive force. the department said the officer's actions were
