still trying to determine if the area was hit by a families are returning to homes to retrieve their belongings after the severe winds destroyed apartments and town homes, 16 buildings and 54 residential units. capt. roy taylor and sky team 11 are above the area. >> what a difference a day makes. yesterday there was nothing but debris. today they still have eight few large trees -- a few large trees to clean up around the area. yesterday we were talking about house roofs being gone, knocked out and crushed. they actually replaced an entire roof and are in the process of replacing a back wall that was knocked down. all in all, they've been aggressively working hard to get people back into the homes as soon as possible. even in the area of baltimore county, for the most part, what

battle counted of is to get to say it began at 10:30 this morning -- in randallstown. investigators say it began about 9:30 this they found eight woman with a gunshot wound to the face. the woman was rushed to shock trauma and no word on her condition. police have not released information about the relationship between the male suspect and the injured woman, nor what sparked the shooting. we will have more want more information becomes available. baltimore police need your help as they search for a suspect who attacked and robbed a woman in towson last week ended the victim and a friend were walking on the glenmont road early saturday morning when a man hit her several times in the head with a gun and then took her purse. if you have any information, you are asked to call metro crime stoppers. after rejecting a new contract

weeks ago, baltimore teachers say yes to a landmark proposal. just over 1900 teachers voted for the new contract, while 1045 opposed the three-year agreement, which comes with a 4.5% pay hike any controversial evaluation system. tim tooten has more on the story. >> all day long, schoolteacher's made their way to the polls to vote for a second time on what the unions and school officials called a landmark contract. 6 dubai% of those who voted cast ballots in favor -- 65% of those who voted cast ballots in favor of the contract. >> out teachers of shown how much they love our profession and students and have voted in favor of the contract. >> but the real work is just beginning to hear some terms of the new agreement. city teachers will earn at

>> in this afternoon's "consumer alert," general motors goes public today, trading foon the new york stock exchange for the first time in 18 months. kate amara has more on what this means for u.s. taxpayers and consumers. >> american taxpayers will recover billions of dollars in what is gearing up to be one of the biggest ipo's history. if you are an american taxpayer, you own a stake in general motors. today, general motors starts paying you back. gm common nearly wiped out when the economy crashed, then yelled out by the obama administration to the tune of $50 billion, is finally ready to get out from under government control when it begins selling stock to the public today. at $33 a share, the ipo is expected to raise more than $20 billion, about $13 billion going to the u.s. treasury, which has held a 61% stake in automakers
