usually they are pretty quick on this. there must be some interesting analysis going on if it is taking this long. today we had a weaker weather disturbance tracking through. in the next hour or two, we will start to see this move out of the picture and skies began to clear. it is 53 here right now but it is only 54 it out at oakland and 42 in cleveland. there is some chilly air following this little weather disturbance. it is 42 downtown, and rather cool friday ahead of us, but then a weekend warmup and then perhaps another strong storm headed our way for thanksgiving next week. details on that with the forecast coming up through cracks volcanically some investigating a domestic dispute that turned deadly this afternoon. police were called to the rebels town home this morning -- randallstown home. david collins joins us live with the latest.

>> it was quite a scene earlier today. emergency vehicles and police packed this parking lot. the neighborhood was put a lock down. three hours later, police determined the suspect was no longer a threat to anyone. police had been here just two nights ago. marcia and terrance wilson or are doing. this time, marshall matt police just outside her door. she had been shot multiple times, including in the face. she is listed in critical but stable condition at shock trauma. >> she walked of the house, suffering from those multiple gunshot wounds, as officers pulled up. they rendered aid to her and sought to the fact that she was transported to shock trauma. >> the couple had an 8-year-old boy and it is not known what the boys all are heard. police said the boy is now out with relatives. one neighbor expressed surprise that the boy was even in the house. >> i did not know there was

anyone in the house other than the gentleman. >> terrance wilson, armed with a handgun, barricaded himself inside the town house. police set up an unusually large perimeter. swat teams travel back and forth from the crime scene in an armored car. negotiations tried to talk him into ending the standoff peacefully. records indicate he had a job with another woman and sued for visitation rights. in 2003, the wilsons filed for chapter 7 bankruptcy. now the trouble between the two escalated and turned deadly. baltimore county police entered the home and terrance wilson was no longer a threat to anyone. >> the suspect is deceased, and a victim in this case is still alive and is expected to live. she is in critical but stable condition at shock trauma. >> we just want to make clear, when baltimore county police entered the home, they found mr.

wilson said. an autopsy will determine the exact cause of death. -- they found mr. wilson dead. >> tonight police have arrested a second suspect in a deadly shooting in a glen burnie pizza shop. 18-year-old john anthony johnson is also charged in the debt of 20-year-old misael flores. four men came in and announced a robbery. police say fluorescence and a female employee were shot after he asked the men to leave. the search continues to not for two more suspects. >> checks could soon be in the mail for thousands of baltimore city school teachers. last month approved a new contract. where the 1900 children -- were the 1900 teachers voted for the amendment. tim tooten has been following this story and continues our coverage from the newsroom.

>> this may be a clear example of the old saying, if at first you don't succeed, try again. that is exactly what the teachers had to do to get the ok on that new contract. a new contract appeared used lsi of relief -- appeared to spell a sigh of relief. >> i am happy for the teachers and for all of us that will be working together and moving in the right direction. >> of vote in favor of the teacher contract came on the second try, after weeks of lobbying the rank and file to get on board. >> i think the face to face, one on one conversations that we had with teachers about what the contract meant to them and students in baltimore made the difference. >> the teachers will be the first to tell you there was a lot to consider in the contract. while money was not the number one concern for some, it was important. is your teachers will get a $1,500 stipend and can expect a

in the fda mandatory recall authority, i want to make sure there are enough protections in place for forms. >> the bill had bipartisan support coming out of committee, but some republicans argue imposing more government regulation is not the answer. >> this bill provides a wonderful example of how we ought to fix the real problems instead of the symptoms. >> the house passed a different version of the bill last year. if the senate bill passes, it was still need to be reconciled with the house bill before going to the president. sally kidd, wbal-tv 11 news. >> tonight and experimental drug from merck looks really promising. doctors say they were stunned. researchers in boston led the study which included more than 1600 people. half of them were given the drug and the others a placebo. researchers found it reduced

employees were trained on how to use no removal equipment in preparation for another huge winter storm. using a simulator, they wrapped -- replicated the bad conditions that could be caused. the director says prepared this is all about practice. >> the reason we do this is obviously safety for our employees first and for the passengers they go through the airport. >> airport officials say they will be prepared, even if we get the same amount snowfall as during last year's back-to-back blizzards. >> it was kind of fun for a while there. we do enjoy big storms, no doubt about that here in the weather center. we will see what comes norway. we may be in for a a rather large storm for the thanksgiving holiday. parts of the nation may be dealing with wintry weather, and maybe some more thunderstorms

around here. 58 degrees today at bwi marshall. we had 59 at the inner harbor. we did have a good deal of sunshine. the cloud cover held up long enough to get those temperatures above normal again today. the normal high is only 55 degrees. a passing sprinkle here or there, but not a lot of moisture. it will move off the mid- atlantic coast and skies will begin to clear behind it. the temperatures will drop for a day or so. it is only 51 at the airport right now and chilly 34 out at oakland and garrett county. 30's and 40's in the afternoon hours. that still is coming our way and we will see a much cooler day tomorrow. only in the low 40's out around mchenry and frostburg. 34-42 with the skies clear.

this weather system will move out and then high pressure will build in. right now there are still some clouds holding on across the ohio valley but we expect that area of high pressure to strengthen and bring us some sunshine tomorrow. a few flurries of an amount to our northwest tomorrow night and into tomorrow morning and then even western maryland dries out. 48-53 degrees tomorrow, son up at five minutes before seven and going down at 10 minutes before five in the afternoon. the bay waters to jurors are uniform from baltimore harbor and down to the thomas point light, 54 degrees water to mature. a chilly november day out in garrett county. around the bay, not quite as

cool but below normal. given the sunshine throughout the day, most of the day temperatures stuck in the 40's. not much warmer on the lower eastern shore. if you are going south toward charlotte for the ravens and answers over the weekend, it looks like a good travel weather down there. up in the 60's on sunday. we will see a little warm up, back into the 60's 4 highs on monday and tuesday. tuesday afternoon headed toward wednesday, that next big storm is approaching with a chance for showers. we could even have an afternoon or evening thunderstorm thanksgiving day. >> the recommended punishment for charles rangel, who is now guilty of ethics violations. >> we can promise that this is not on the list. >> are the toys your kids will

experts say the caffeine high as the effects of alcohol, and that may prompt people to keep drinking, not knowing how impaired there really are. even know where land is taking action, we discovered you can still buy these cans in stores. four loko has been on the market for about five years. now the mall liquor-caffeine concoction has gained the attention of maryland's comptroller. >> the danger is that this combination of caffeine and elevated amounts of alcohol result in people that are drawn that do not realize they are drunk. >> the maryland beer wholesalers association and the state licensed beverage association has called upon its importer and issue ritter membership to stop accepting shipments and stop distributing so-called infused decaffeinated and alcoholic beverages like this. >> i think it will be a very

bus head-on and then caught fire -- the suv crossed the center line. five children on the bus were taken to the hospital but are expected to be okay. >> a mississippi is in jail after confessing to murder that happened 16 years ago. he walked into the police station and confessed to killing his old roommate. he said he had found religion and had to get it off his chest. officials say the body of the male victim was buried deep in the woods. it is believed he died of blunt force trauma. controversy is brewing over what happened at a chicago-area hooters restaurant, and it was all caught on tape. it involved a 54-year-old woman and an off-duty police officer. the video shows them apparently arguing over the tab and at some point the officer yanks her off her seat and it puts her

was 20 degrees. the most amount of precipitation that has ever come down on november 18 was less than 1 inch. that record goes all the way back to 1886. but friday in the history books on the 18th of november. a couple of sprinkles started to develop today, but that is about it. it quickly dried up as a track toward the middle atlantic coast. there is an outside chance we could pick up and sprinkled through the early evening, but after that it is a dry weather pattern taking us into the weekend. cool air is coming in behind, most of us will be in the 30's by tomorrow morning with skies clearing and west winds at 5-10 miles an hour. this system gets off the coast and high pressure moves in. right now the skies are beginning to clear a little bit over the western ohio valley. the next form to approach is just not taking shake out in the pacific northwest.

it will approach sometime in the bill -- in the middle of next week just as we are getting ready to go into the thanksgiving holiday. it looks like we will see a good deal of sunshine as we head into the upcoming weekend. tomorrow sunny, west winds at 5- 10 miles an hour. afternoon temperatures will struggle to get into the low 50's. waves at 1-2 feet, and bay water temperatures right around 54. western maryland, snow showers tonight and early tomorrow morning, then the sun breaks through. afternoon high temperature is only around 43. around the chesapeake, sunshine and 50. down toward the lower eastern shore, look for mostly sunny skies and 53 degrees. the ravens will be down in charlotte this weekend. it looks like some good conditions for the ravens and panthers. it should be about 60-64 for the
