obama has to kentucky to thank some of the navy seals who captured and killed osama bin laden. the president travels to fort campbell, ky later this afternoon to meet 2000 troops back from afghanistan. the white house says that while there, the president wants to express his gratitude to those who took out the world's number 1 terrorist. >> him coming here and actually interacting with the soldiers is a huge expression of support. >> the president's visit comes as additional details emerge into the raid on the osama bin laden compound. >> al-qaeda did not need graphic photos to prove to them that osama bin laden was killed. they released a statement on lumber they confirm that the al qaeda leader was killed. it was also a rallying cry for supporters. they call on all moslems to avenge his death and continue to attack americans. they also: pakistan in particular to rise up and avenge

you can find this all on our home page, wbaltv.com. officials shut down parts of the bellwether's monday after a tractor-trailer slammed into a bridge. the tractor at the park heights avenue bridge over the inner loop around 10:00 this morning. traffic had to be detoured so the bridge could be inspected. no word on injuries. baltimore city police are trying to figure out how the body of a woman ended up in jones falls. she was discovered after 10:00 this morning partially in the water under the jfx. there are no signs of foul play but the death is suspicious. an autopsy will be determined. county leaders say last year's statistics show crime decline for a fourth straight year. overall, crime is down 5.4% and violent crime declined 5%.
