boater. robert james fell yesterday afternoon, and his friend was thrown from the vote, but rested. rescue workers have identified a boy that drowned. the boy's body was found submerged in four feet of water, and pulled out by nearby swimmers. >> they found him, not knowing, and -- and at that point, everyone went to the lighthouse. >> the child was given cpr, and taken to the medical center, but did not survive. with so many people swimming in the area, parents need to be watchful of their children according to park officials. a car drove into a house in aspen health. and suv drove through a chain-

>> a man is killed and a four- share national is injured during celebrations in the inner harbor. city police and the commissioner spoke minutes ago. barry simms has the latest. >> they are responding to the violence and chaos. this was during the fourth of july celebration. this is a picture of a person of interest. this is a man that police say may have been involved in a standing outside of a restaurant. it was fatal. this is video of that scene. it happened around 10:00 last night. police responded when a 26-year- old man was stabbed in the neck outside of mccormick and schmicks restaurant. police say a fight between two groups led to his death.

a four-year-old boy was shot at the intersection of east and press treats. he was holding his leg, and is now in stable in -- stable condition. all of these incidents are under investigation. mayor stephanie rawlings-blake is responding to the violence. >> it is simply outrageous that anyone would bring a weapon into downtown, a weapon into the fireworks display, and particularly an illegal weapon. these people then engage in these terrible, and senseless acts of violence, are cowards, and we're not going to tolerate their cowardly behavior. >> there were 600 police officers from baltimore city and

continues to make its way off the shore. we had a low pressure associated with debt, which brought a couple of showers to the eastern shore throughout the morning. there is still an opportunity for showers through central virginia because the same front is in the vicinity. that front will be our weather maker through the next couple of days. we have more dry conditions in store, plenty of sunshine, and it is much less humid. we are expecting opera-80's, load-90's. it will get a couple of degrees warmer into the afternoon. temperatures will drop down into the 60's, with mostly clear skies for the night. as for the beach, there is still the potential for thunderstorms through the afternoon. we still have more thunderstorms possible tomorrow and as we get into friday.

the front in the area will lift back to the north as a warm front. that will make things feel a little more unsettled. that is what we will deal with here in baltimore. the seven-day forecast -- today is dry. tomorrow, rain chances increase. if we could have a thunderstorm in the area as well. through the next couple of days, temperatures will be around 90 degrees. more sunshine this weekend, but temperatures will also be warming back up. >> we are joined now by carrie engel to answer your plants and garden in questions. >> how're you doing? >> i am great. what is this? >> this is actually a hot pepper. i would not recommend eating it right now.
