testimony, members of the jackson family arrived for day three of conrad murray's trial. >> on wednesday, the family lived michael's final hours, when his personal assistant testified about the critical moment when dr. murray found jackson unresponsive and the frantic phone call he had with the doctor before 911 was called. >> he said it here right away. >> jackson's chief of security then described the chaotic scene inside the jackson's bedroom, witnessed by the pop star just children. >> paris was on the ground, balled up crying, and prince was standing there, and he just had a real shot -- just that type of look on his face. >> he said that dr. murray looked nervous as he was giving cpr to life was michael jackson. >> the doctor asked you if you knew cpr? >> yes. >> today one of the prosecution's most damaging witnesses is expected to take the sting, the security guard

against dr. murray ordered in to remove drug vials from the singers better before calling 911, and ordered prosecutors say proves dr. murray was trying to cover up his negligence actions, actions they claim directly led to jackson's death. we're also expected to hear from jackson's personal chef and the paramedics rushed into the hospital. wbal-tv 11 news, downtown los angeles. >> a verdict in the amanda knox appealed trial is days away. closing arguments began today. a defense attorney told the court amanda knox is innocent and a victim of this tragic judicial case. the defense hopes the credit it dna evidence will be enough to free her. the seattle stood and is serving a 26-year jail term after being convicted of murdering her british were made in 2007. >> we had yet another foggy start to the day. through the day, it has not

turned out to bed. we have got a little bit of sunshine. not as humid, but hd doppler is showing scattered showers around the metro. off to the north and east and in southeast harbor county, showers developing near aberdeen. those are lifting to the north and east. westbound, a couple more showers developing. those will be moving towards baltimore. right now, mostly cloudy. 74 degrees at the airport. the humidity has dropped down to 62%. throughout the afternoon and evening, a better chance for scattered storms through about 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., but then we start to clear off for the evening. it turns much less humid tonight as the the temperature will drop down. we will see this trend in the weekend. we will talk about how cool it will get coming up. >> thank you. new this noon, a girl was rushed to shock trauma after being hit by a car in woodlawn.

it happened shortly after 8:00 a.m. this morning. baltimore county police said the driver remained at the scene. we're told the girl had life- threatening injuries. no word of any charges will be filed. baltimore city police investigating a shooting in south baltimore. officers were called around 5:30 a.m. this morning. and and was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries. no word on a suspected of the search continues for the gunman who shot 26-year-old antonio blackwell in front of an east baltimore carry out. it happened yesterday afternoon. police and witnesses can help solve the crime. here is the report. >> sounded like firecrackers. but this is october, not the fourth of july. >> she was just about to walk into the krispy king carryout in east baltimore when she heard gunshots. >> when i looked down, there was a body on the ground, blood everywhere. broad daylight. >> investigators rest -- rushed

over to find a young man in his 20 shot in the head. the victim's friend tried to help as witnesses watched. >> i heard a couple or triple shots, like gunshots. >> everybody was running. when the police got here, they would not let you near. so it is nothing that we could basically do. it is like i just want to go and did them and protect them -- go and get him to protect him, because he was in pretty bad shape. >> the victim was in critical condition. he was shot outside in front of the restaurant. detectives are interviewing several witnesses and pleading with anyone with information to come forward. >> people may have seen or heard anything suspicious, may be seeing an individual fleeing the scene. >> wbal-tv 11 news. >> police in anne arundel county hope you can help them track down a suspect wanted for

sexual assault in glen burnie. this is 29-year-old clarence randall. police believe he is all that a woman inside a car on the fixed -- and the 5600 block of ricci highway. if you have information, call metro crime stoppers. police in bolger workout here searching for a convicted sex offender who is missing. they say this man, 47-roll michael freedman, fell to register with authorities after being found guilty of sexual abuse on a 5-year-old child. police say he may be homeless. if you know where he is, call baltimore county police are mature crime stoppers. city housing officials are suspected back on the scene of an overnight row home collapse in northwest baltimore. it happened just under 2:00 a.m. on west north avenue, and there are no reports of injuries. no word as to whether the adjacent buildings are in danger of falling. u.s. park service says the group

>> in today's consumer alert, if you have eaten any cantaloupe lately, a growing concern over tainted cantaloupes. health officials warn that if you have one that you do not know where it came from, you should throw up. more than a dozen people have died from the stereo after eating cantaloupe from a farm in colorado. >> jensen farms recalled its cantaloupe two weeks ago after shipping to more than 20 states last summer. so far, 13 people have died,

far today, it is not too bad that. we have seen sunshine. it is warm, but the humidity has dropped down. but some areas are getting w et. here are some showers, and they continue to move northeast. some lightning has been reported with those. right now, mostly rain. out west, just an indication of light showers starting to push in from the west. this could be moving in throughout the afternoon to early evening hours. then it looks like we will get a break from the rain. here are the temperatures. mostly 70's along the bay, down towards the eastern shore. 80 degrees in salisbury. very warm for september. 5 to 10 degrees above average. you do not have to go too far before kohl's done. 60s out towards hagerstown. 50's into the western mountains. some cool air moving in across

western parts of the city, with a cold front that is helping to kick off those showers. more clouds pushing on in and more clout behind the cold front. but this is the same cold front we have been talking about for days and days. it has been slowly inching its way across the state. now it is about halfway throughout the state. once this goes by, we get a break from the rain in the timber chose -- the temperatures will come down. then a more powerful cold front will be moving in, and you a season of a drop in temperatures. we're going to time at the rain chances. a possibility throughout the afternoon. showers will be scattered in nature but enough so you may want to have an umbrella. we will dry out as we headed to much of friday. then saturday, the upper level low, the same low pressure system that has been plaguing us for the past couple of days, that finally moves over us. it brings rainshowers to baltimore on saturday. there could be snow in the

western mountains of west virginia. it is not likely to stay, but it is a possibility. so far, it has been a very wet september, the wettest on record. the third wettest month we have ever seen. we will be drying up tonight. partly cloudy. much less humid, temperatures dropping. that is the cooling trend we see. mid-70s tomorrow with mostly dry conditions. and the weekend, we struggle to even get into the 50s for high temperatures but a slight chance for showers for saturday. for the reagans came, for now, we're calling for mostly dry weather. >> a cat in massachusetts has two names, and for good reason. meet frank and lillie. it is not your ordinary pet. according to guinness world records, he is the longest surviving two-faced cat. the cat was just a day away when the owner rescued him. he was not expected to make it. but 12 years later, he is still going strong. >> everything works in unison.
