kind of things are going on. >> coach brenda frese led the maryland women's basketball team to a championship victory in 2006. but now the mother of twins is taking on a tough opponent off the court. >> this is extremely personal for our family because with my son tyler, who is 3 1/2 years old, he has leukemia. >> ashes, ashes, we all fall down! one of the medications tyler takes to treat his leukemia is in short supply. it is on a federal list of drug shortages that includes other cancer-fighting drugs, blood pressure medications, and emergency room medicines. the fda says quality and manufacturing issues have caused the shortages. brenda was frustrated by the news and wrote to congressman elijah cummings, who launched an investigation. his research revealed that some companies are acting as middlemen in marking up the price of limited drugs as high as 650%. congressman cummings said it's criminal and proposes a legislative fix.
