tonight. >> our big story tonight, the second home invasion in the woodlawn area in baltimore county in as many days. it happened just this morning the 7500 block of lexan court. the victim had the job from it -- to jump from a two-story window to escape her attackers. >> news of this morning's commendation is frightening for the neighbors. >> i live across the street. i do not want to hear stuff like that. >> it is shocking. usually, we will receive a call saying something is going on in the area, but no, this will be the second incident like this since i've lived here, though. >> some time before 8:00 a.m., police said two men, one armed with a handgun, forced their way into this town house, assaulting a woman, who was the only person home at the time. >> they forced their way into

the home with a gun and there was a confrontation. the victim did suffer injuries and she was taken to shock trauma. >> the woman jumped out of a second story window, injuring her ankle in the process. she knocked on her neighbor's door, asking for help. >> the young lady knocked on the door screaming and hollering it -- screaming and hollering. she said someone is broken and was demanding money. when she jumped out the window, the suspects ran. >> police arrested one of three men accused of forcing their way into another woodlawn home yesterday. officials say michael william and two others held a woman and her 22-year-old grandson at gunpoint. william had been released on $250,000 bond. new tonight, a guilty verdict

for the 28-year-old kelly shirt on trial for murdering a man after breaking into his home. the man was shot in 2010. prosecutors say that his wife and the children were home when they broke in -- when the man broke in. sentencing was set for november 20. shots were fired in the 2600 block of st. paul st., just feet away from where johns hopkins researcher stephen bit karen was killed in july of 2008. we're told the victim complied in the robbery, but the robbers still shot him. >> it is a very frustrating process. we ran to about this senseless gun violence week after week and

news he will not seek another term as the school's chief. after 12 years, that is a tremendous run for any superintendent. his contract was set to expire on june 30 of next year. tonight, people all over the world are remembering steve jobs. after losing his battle to pancreatic cancer yesterday, scores have paid their respects at apple stores as far away as china. many captured the moment, taking pictures on products that he introduced. tonight, he is being remembered as a visionary, a showman, and a genius. >> it did come along once in a blue moon. we are talking henry ford, thomas edison, and probably michael jordan built into one individual. that is what makes it difficult for me. i am not pleading with he made the iphone or the ipad -- i am not leaving with key made the iphone or the ipad. he had vision.
