early due to a power outage. more breaking news -- the car connected to this morning's air alert has been found but the boy is still missing. montgomery county police said the mother of 11-year-old william mcquain was found murdered in germantown. he was last seen september 30 near briarcliff terrace. if you have any information call police at 301-279-8000. high schools and anne arundel county are remembering a fellow student. 17-year-old kala marie austin died in a single vehicle accidents the morning. today family and friends are remembering her as a girl who always wore a smile. jennifer franciotti has that story. >> 17-year-old kala marie austin was a popular, have become an outstanding student at chesapeake high-school and pasadena but just after 7:30 a.m. is the morning she lost control of her car and slammed into an abandoned home on the opposite side of the street.

she was ross -- rushed to hospital but died of injuries. investigators believed the wet pavement and the speed contributed to the accident. >> too much. to many accidents. it is always, you hear about accidents happening on this freeway. >> this neighbor was saddened but not surprised to hear about yet another crash on his heavily-traveled road. she said it it is often congested and dangerous especially during rush hour. >> it is a speedway. drivers are more concerned about getting to their destination the van they are really four safety issues. not enough runway to accommodate the traffic. >> malloux road have light control lanes of traffic flowing east or west down depending on the time of day. police and still investigating exactly what caused the crash. friends have put up a makeshift memorial for kala at the crash

site. >> we are told grief counselors will be at chesapeake high- school today to help students and staff " what are lost. police are investigating a serious accident between a utility truck and and as you read this morning. officials responded to the intersection of rte. 40 east and allander road. we are told a rear seat passenger in the suv were not wearing a seat belt and he was in cardiac arrest at the scene but was revived and take into shock trauma and is listed incredible conditions. another vaccine passenger was transported to debut of the two front seat passengers were taken to shock trauma and the two people in the truck suffered only minor injuries. >> it seems like we have had a lot of rain today. since midnight here on tv hill less than half inch. you take a look at the radar and, yes, there is drizzle and rain gear not as much of that earlier. you see the rain at the

maryland-pennsylvania line. i circled baltimore in yellowed just to give a reference point. most of the rain as falling in frederick county and a former showers. there is drizzle. if you look at the bottom of the screen down below baltimore and just west of the day around waldorf -- the clout to really begin to bend out. it is going to be a cloudy day but the clouds it gets thinner and the rain chances go down for a while this afternoon. i will let details of the forecast and what happens the next couple of days, coming up. >> two florida men behind bars after a maryland state trooper found 67 pounds of marijuana in their truck. state police said the trooper stopped to help them and change a flat tire on the side of i-95 in cecil county around 7:30 p.m. wednesday. they said the trooper asked to search the car but the two men started acting suspicious. the street value of the marijuana is estimated as $335,000. the trooper was ironically on his way home from a three-day training course on drug interdiction.

opened fire. police say he was wearing full body armor and caring mobile weapons. six women and two men were killed, including a salon that the owner did this morning i spoke to a woman who was a client for 30 years. >> i knew he would be among the six because i knew he would have tried to stop whatever was happening. and i heard that is exactly what happened. he could have easily gotten out because his station is right there next to that door, but he didn't. he would have tried to protect everyone in there. >> police arrested dekraai about a half mile from here. police say he surrendered peacefully but had multiple weapons in his truck. as for a motive, police are not saying yet but those in new the victims said dekraai's x worth -- ex-wife worked as a stylist and the two were involved in a custody dispute. in seal beach, california. back to you. >> still to come, dr. tim

the mountains. 50's with the brighter shades around us and then breaking into the 70's in the rural eastern shore and southern maryland where the sun is breaking through the clouds. we don't expect a lot of sun as far north. the cloud picture, some of the more significant rain coming out of the heavier clouds to the north. here we are in baltimore. of the rain is mostly north and northwest of the city at this stage but it is still kind of dreary with the clouds. east wins kind of along the stalled front. that is what is generating all of the activity. but most of the rain at least at this stage is from the front northward. so the front has traveled right across baltimore. here is what the sun is breaking through to the south. also it is the warmer air. in addition to getting this little disturbance we still have a friend to the west. that is tomorrows what. to mark another chance for rain. today, clouds and showers in the forecast. the chance of diminishing a little bit but still there and it will probably crank up a little this afternoon.
