the harrisburg spea. expressway. 97 in the northbound direction at 100, searching for the accident. at least the latest on traffic pulse 11. stan? >> our big story this morning, an arrest in the murder of a maryland mother, but 11-year-old william mcquain is still nowhere to be found last seen on september 30 at his montgomery home. jennifer franciotti joins us with the latest. >> good morning. william's mother, jane was found dead on wednesday in their germantown home, but william was missing and so was his step father. an amber alert was issued. police found the car and arrested curtis lopez the boy's step father and charged hip with first-degree murder. they hoped the find william safe with lopez, however, he

was last seen september 30. they found his mother murdered this week. >> every time she would go somewhere, he would be there. >> william is a sixth grader and it's unclear whether his school followed policy after he failed to show up after four consecutive days. anyone with information is asked to call the police. >> thank you. an inmate escapes from police custody and this morning he is still at large. this man, 21-year-old jermaine stroud took off after being transported when he was arrested for armed robbery, if you know his whereabouts, you're asked to call 911. >> well, dozens of alleged gang members are behind bars, the 35 people indicted include men and

win. the south side bloods are accused of racketeering and guns violations, since 2005 the gang has murdered, maimed, robbed and intimidated witnesses. >> it's not enough just to arrest these folks. we need make sure they are incarcerated for long periods of time and make sure they are sent out of state to federal prisons. when we leave them here, they are able to influence fellow gang members who hit the streets to commit more crimes. >> the man accused of murdering a 16-year-old middle river girl, 36-year-old jason gross told jurors there was no proof row chevy was even dead as her body was never found therefore there's no proof his client

full body armor. friends say one of the victims was his ex-wife and that the two had been involved in a custody battle over their son. authorities say this is the deadliest shooting in orange county, california. >> and 31-year-old joshua and an accomplice broke into a family's home in connecticut in 2007. they beat everyone. they trained mother and the two daughters. the men then poured gasoline around the house and set it on fire. the father is the only survivor. the jury will now decide if he will join his accomplice on death row or be sentenced to life in prison. >> and doing their own cleaning in lower manhattan. michael bloomberg's question that they clean the area. any protesters which return

protocol was followed after he was missing from school for almost two weeks. >> and now police just want you to give them a call if you have any information about william mcquain's whereabouts, and you are asked to call montgomery county police. jennifer franciotti, wbal-tv 11 news. >> a gunman is on the loose after shooting a man in the back in a baltimore parking garage. he is listed in critical condition. it happened across the street from the university of maland social work. when the suspect approached the victim in the university plaza garage there was a struggle. >> during the course of that he was struck multiple times with a handgun round. >> the suspect took off afterwards. while it appears to be a robbery attempt, police aren't confirming a motive or whether or not there were any witnesses.
